There have been several posts on here about how people are not getting their records and that the phone number for getting records is full. No way to contact.

I don't know how to search, but it is on here many many many times

And again, in the latest article, posted last night. It is the latest post in the media thread.
http://www.news-press.com/story/new...r-practice-medical-records-patients/72680032/
Why is her name still there, even though both the site and the phone message have been updated since Sievers’ death? Mark Sievers wasn’t available to ask.
The office phone offers a recording that includes his phone number, but his voice mailbox is full and can’t take messages.
This presents a challenge for some of Spiska’s patients, who haven’t been able to get copies of their medical records, held in Sievers’ office, which Mark now manages. All Spiska can tell them is to request the files from Mark, who’s legally bound to produce them in a timely way under Florida law, generally understood to be 30 days.

Quote from the citation:
In fact, HIPAA allows providers 30 days to complete a record request. It also allows a single 30-day extension, but the facility must explain the cause of the delay.

I found that there is a nummygirl.com out of Scottsdale, AZ which appears to be a sex film per this link.

I also found that NumMyGirl.com aka nummygirl.com goes back to Mark Sievers and is also associated with Scottsale, AZ, leading me to suspect that they are one in the same. No proof, but it looks possble. It appears the nummygirl.com site domain is now locked and is to expire in 05/2016, so I cannot find the exact site.

I think the Mark Sievers who was/is connected to nummygirl.com is "our" Mark Sievers because I also found this link.

I suspect he's trying to sell the records and will let the new doctor deal with the release of records. There's a reason he's not cooperating and stalling.

Patient lists may be a business asset, but not the medical records. Patient records (essentially held hostage) would not be of any value to someone interested in buying out MS, JMO. I agree, there must be a reason he is not releasing the records. Let's hope that reason isn't because accurate records were not maintained, or maintained in a manner not in compliance with state or federal regulations. To be clear, not alleging any wrong doing on TS's part.

Great detective work!

Long ago it did happen so yes you are correct.

Nowadays it is very rare. Physicians today don't have that sort of money. They are coming out of school with lots of debt. They are not making the <modsnip> moves like buying private practices anymore. It is more efficient to either start your own or join a hospital system where you sign on with a guaranteed income.

All about lifestyle today.
LAKSHMI Agree 300 percent with you post! I spoke to 5 new "docs"...so deep in debt they have put their student loans on deferment just to be able to pay rent.

Great sleuthing. If I ever need a private investigator I am going to hire Websleuths.
I am starting to see why the sherriff said this is a case that will have books and movies written about it.

Is it possible that LE has control of the records as they forensically search them?

Absolutely, we have no idea what kind of value they have to the investigation. That said LE could easily copy the files and release the medical records. It's not like LE is going through 50 banker's boxes of paper records. Unfortunately, medical records contain a massive amount of valuable information (social security #, a copy of the patient's driver license, employer info, home address, date of birth, emergency contact info). The office would also have payment information, credit card numbers etc... Can you imagine what a criminal could do with this type of information???

Yes, but if a patient transfers her medical records before the sale of the practice then that patient's information cannot be sold. So her information would be deleted from the patient list. The patient list is generated from the medical records if that makes any sense.

The value in holding the medical records is that the new doc can start a conversation with the patient. He sends a letter of introduction stating that he's taken over the practice with a consent form addressing the legal ownership of the medical records.

Not that there is any big doubt, but for clarification -

Nummy
Delicious.
Mmmmm.. that cake was nummy!

a domain name promoting "delicious girls" in the url ... well okay, I'm pretty sure that one wouldn't have a darn thing to do with any holistic treatment or restorative healing. And I'm even surer that Teresa would be appalled by such a domain name even being associated with the same email address as the ones that promoted her practice and purpose.

Just color me gobsmacked.

So true!

Have any of you followed the VW scandal?

Who can even imagine what CWW might have done with computers and access to info he had with the patients.

Thanks ohreally! I get the sense that there is still soooo much more.

MS had that domain for ten years. Probably was something silly he did in his bachelor days, maybe.

Amazing sleuthing.

Dayum Minnesota Mary, GREAT POST!

I can't for the life of me think that TS would EVER allow CWW access to her computers and/or access to her family (daughters) if she had an inkling of his background. This is JMO and based on insider info previously posted on these threads. Would a loving, caring mother subject her children to CWW? I just don't believe she would knowingly do it.
