Daly says he got that from Millard wearing sunglasses at night, and his general mannerisms.
by Adam Carter 11:58 AM

"It's honourable for you to come to court and testify. You're doing the right thing. That's what every citizen should do. That's not being a rat. That's not being a snitch. That's being a citizen," Dungey says to Daly.
by Adam Carter 12:00 PM

Daly says sometime after May 6 it becomes clear to him that this has something to do with Bosma. "Does [Smich] tell you specifically who he is afraid of?" Dungey asks. "No he does not," Daly says.
by Adam Carter 12:01 PM

"He's fearful because he's afraid that Dellen Millard will frame him, correct?" Dungey says. "Correct," Daly says.
by Adam Carter 12:02 PM

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 23s23 seconds ago
Becomes clear to Daly this all has to do with the #Bosma case. May 10 Millard arrested and Smich becomes fearful Dell will frame him.

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 26s27 seconds ago Brampton, Ontario
Dungey: Mark becomes very frightened, very fearful after Dellen Millard is arrested. Daly: Correct.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 13s14 seconds ago
Daly agrees Smich was afraid that Millard was going to frame him in the #Bosma murder #BosmaTrial #TimBosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 12s13 seconds ago
"He's afraid because DM is going to try to frame him for what happened in the #Bosma affair. That's his big fear right?" Dungey asks

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 46s46 seconds ago Brampton, Ontario
Dungey: His big fear is that Dellen Millard will frame him. Daly: Correct #BosmaTrial

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 46s46 seconds ago Brampton, Ontario
Dungey: His big fear is that Dellen Millard will frame him. Daly: Correct #BosmaTrial

I missed it--did DM's lawyers do the trick yet of asking Daly fifty times if he's nervous? (Or maybe they only do that to people in DM's own inner circle like SS.)

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 36s36 seconds ago
Smich says over and over he is afraid Millard will frame him for "something he did not do" and that he was not there when it went down.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 36s36 seconds ago
Smich told Daly he never did anything and he wasn't involved #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 56s56 seconds ago

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 41s42 seconds ago
"His fear of being framed for a crime he did not do. That DM would frame him for a crime he did not do," Dungey says. Daly agrees.

"He told you that he was not there when something went down, correct?" Dungey says, and Daly says correct.
by Adam Carter 12:02 PM

"That's the most dramatic thing you'd seen in him right .. the fear of being framed for a crime he did not do," Dungey says. Daly says yes.
by Adam Carter 12:03 PM

"One of the reasons he was trying to raise money was to get a lawyer, because he was afraid he was going to be framed for something he didn't do, correct?" Dungey says. Daly says yes.
by Adam Carter 12:04 PM

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 32s32 seconds ago
Daly says Smich's fear "possessed him" #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 13s13 seconds ago

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 28s28 seconds ago

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 20s21 seconds ago Brampton, Ontario
Dungey now focusing on the toolbox #BosmaTrial

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 11s12 seconds ago
Dungey stresses #Smich was afraid after #Millard arrest & thought he'd be "framed for what happened in the #Bosma truck."

So both DM and MS claimed a fear of being set up to at least one person (DM to LW2, IIRC). But DM said someone at WORK may have set him up, whereas MS is much more specific about who it could be.

Okay, now I am confused.

"Dungey asking Daly about on May 6, when Smich brushed him off. "Dellen drops him off and Mark looks fearful ... as if something was told to him or said to him?" Dungey says. Daly says yes."

"
Daly says he got that from Millard wearing sunglasses at night, and his general mannerisms."

Is this all about the 6th? It would just be getting dark when they arrived at TB's for the test drive.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 26s26 seconds ago
Dungey suggests the toolbox also contained a pound of marijuana, but Daly says he doesn't remember that #Bosma

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 24s24 seconds ago
Dungey. It wasn't just a tool box. Smich also had a pound of pot. Daly doesn't remember. @AM900CHML #TimBosma

by Adam Carter 12:06 PM

Dungey now suggesting that Arthur was only expecting drugs, and not the toolbox. Daly says he has no memory of that. Court heard Smich had about a pound of weed as well.
by Adam Carter 12:07 PM

Mark was a pretty carefree guy, Dungey says, up until May 6. Daly says that's correct.
by Adam Carter 11:56 AM

by Adam Carter 11:57 AM

"He seems, for lack of a better word, sketchy," Daly says about Millard.
by Adam Carter 11:58 AM

Exactly the same way SB described him. Go figure. Some found him charismatic while others found him sketchy.

WOOPS. Oh goodness no she didn't. She described MS that way. Yikes, I clearly need more coffee. :(

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 30s30 seconds ago Brampton, Ontario

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 44s45 seconds ago

Smich was afraid someone would kill him and that Millard would set him up #BosmaTrial

Dungey says the first time Daly gave a statement, he was hungover, and the second time he talked to police he had taken drugs earlier that day. "So your mind is hazy, it's fuzzy," Dungey says.
by Adam Carter 12:08 PM

"One thing Mark made very clear to you, and that's because he repeated it to you, he was afraid people were coming for him and that people might kill him, and he was afraid he would be framed by Dellen Millard," Dungey says. Daly says correct.
by Adam Carter 12:10 PM

"I'm going to suggest to you that [Smich] was surprised that there was a gun in this toolbox," that was dropped off to him, Dungey says. "I do not remember that," Daly says.

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 57s58 seconds ago Brampton, Ontario

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 57s58 seconds ago

"Testifying against [Smich] feels like you're snitching on him, right?" Pillay asks. "Sure," Daly says.
by Adam Carter 10:24 AM

Daly says there were times Smich made him uncomfortable. He told police in a statement there were times that he tried to stay away from him, though Daly says he doesn't remember saying that.
by Adam Carter 10:25 AM

Pillay reads from Daly's statement: "I don't hang out there for long though ... I go there, I smoke my weed and I kind of keep my distance and go home. Like, I don't want to be around, it puts me on edge, it really does. Like, once I kind of get high and he starts talking about all that violent stuff, and like, he makes jokes about stuff, but you look, and he's kind of got a serious face, you know what I mean."
by Adam Carter 10:26 AM

So MS "best friend" kept a distance and felt uncomfortable with his so-called best friend; and then DM friend SS so-called wasn't a friend even though they had matching tattoos, went on vactaions together and were planning on building homes next to eachother. What? Was this non-friend Daly paid off?
