interesting info can be seen on JDW's voter records page .... note the age of his mother:
https://voterrecords.com/voter/32000936/james-worley

Also, the search warrant does state Josh exchanged texts earlier with Sierah, but it does not say how much earlier in the evening they were. I think the confusion is from the wording regarding this topic. Perhaps she was to let him know when she got home safely, and she did not. He may have tried calling several times and left/not left text messages begging her to call.. That surely would have me worried. See Probable Cause section of warrant:

Please cite a source for your information about the screwdriver being a flat head.

Looks like it's open season on details of Sierah's death. I don't like it. But I understand that details must be exposed.

I am posting a link to the scanner thread from the time she was missing-and I found this report riveting.:

Starry Night, good morning. Websleuths only allows one link per comment posted. Although I don't see what difference it would make if a screwdriver was a flat head or a phillips head, as they would both be effective if used as a deadly weapon or shank. Your wish is my command..

Robin Gardner told police that she managed to escape the truck and run to a man who had stopped his motorcycle after seeing a struggle inside the truck. Worley inflicted a one-inch laceration on her right knee with a flathead screwdriver, she said
.

The following quote is verbatim from the probable cause affidavit for the search warrant for Sierah's phone records:

I have been further advised by [REDACTED] that he was Ms. Joughin's boyfriend, that he had been talking with Ms. Joughin and/or exchanging text messages with Ms. Joughin using a communication device/cell phone which had the number [REDACTED] earlier in the evening of July 19, 2016, but that when he tried to get in touch with her at approximately 10:00 on the night of July 19, 2016, he was unable to do so....

Considering what we know, I am reading the bit about phone communication "earlier in the evening" to mean prior to when he saw her last.

I'm also reading the inclusion of this information in the probable cause affidavit as a means of establishing that she probably had her phone on her person when she was abducted, thus adding weight to the relevance of her phone records.

Somewhere along the way, this part of the affidavit and reports on it have been interpreted differently.

Absent the specific information that there was no communication between Sierah and her boyfriend after they parted ways, I can see how this wording from the affidavit might be read differently.

As for the blood on the helmet, the same affidavit only states:

...a motorcycle helmet that was covered in human blood with a partial palm print in the blood....

The affidavit does include that Worley admitted the helmet belonged to him. It does not include any information stating that Worley said the blood was his.

:bump: for OntarioMom

Thank you, but (and I say this with all due respect) I would prefer a link that is both accurate about the other details (this one is not, as jashrema and others have pointed out) and one that specifically states it was JDW blood. Pretty sure we all expect his DNA to be on it, it's his helmet.

<BBM for Focus - WARNING GRAPHIC -BRIEF NUDITY>

re: Maps, imo the maps with markings on them are likely locations of his victim/s burial grounds for revisiting for sexual gratification. Imo, JDW is an escalated sadistic ritual sexual stealth predator/killer as were many other prolific serial killers prior; Robert Hansen; Butcher Baker was an Alaska ritual serial killer synonymous to JD Worley, imo. His preferred victims were strippers and prostitutes. He would fly them deep into the forest, let them go, then hunt them like game. When arrested souvenirs, jewelry, and maps were located in his attic with Xs marking the spot where his victims were buried in shallow graves.

-SUMMARY: "The Frozen Ground" is inspired by the incredible true story that follows Alaskan State Trooper Jack Halcombe (Nicolas Cage) as he sets out to end the murderous rampage of serial killer Robert Hansen; Butcher Baker. Hansen was a church going family who owned a Pastry Shop where all the law enforcement hung out. Although the one victim that got away fingered Hansen as the serial predator taking the prostitutes. They did not believe that he was capable of such evil..

Thanks Foxfire!

Wish we knew where the markings are so we can compare the locations to any unsolved cases. But I'm sure LE will probably keep that information pretty close to the vest for now.

Sigh.

I could post a link to a court record from Fulton County showing that the age in that link is probably wrong.

Can't do it within TOS, though.

I know .... I have seen multiple ages and different spellings for last names. No one knows what is correct, or if parent(s) are even alive.

Gotcha! Missed that what your question was... the difference of "blood" and not just DNA...

From article posted above, http://www.toledoblade.com/Police-F...Worley-bombarded-sheriff-with-complaints.html

Sheriff’s office reports show contentious interactions among Worley, his brother Mark, and mother, Florence Sheperd. In July, 2015, Worley called to report his brother was “off his meds” and kicking down the door. Two years earlier, deputies checked on a report of possible elder abuse against the mother. A nurse practitioner who treated Ms. Sheperd after a fall contacted authorities.
“The son seemed agitated and frustrated to be at the hospital,” the nurse relayed to deputies in the report, and said she was able “to speak with Ms. Sheperd about the way her son treats her and [Ms. Sheperd] advised that he is just like his father in the way he talks to her.” The nurse reported no signs of physical abuse.
Worley returned to prison in 2000 on felony convictions of illegal manufacture or cultivation of marijuana and having weapons while under disability. He left in 2002, according to state records, after again unsuccessfully petitioning for early release.
A criminal-background check lists Worley’s current residence as his home address in 1979, 1990, and 2000. It is unclear if he lived there continuously.

Thank you Everyday Grace and Spellbound for clearing that up! (And my aplogies to cnn for blaming them for bad reporting.)

I agree that most likely those text messages were from earlier that evening, or he himself sent them after taking her.

In July, 1990, Robin Gardner, then 26, was riding her bicycle on Obee Road outside Whitehouse when Worley struck her with his truck. Worley left his vehicle, hit Ms. Gardner on the head, and placed her in handcuffs, according to a Waterville Township Police Department report and court records.

“The suspect then put a screwdriver to her throat and stated, ‘I’ll kill you if you don’t stop screaming,’ ” an officer wrote in the report.

I know, it's it terrifying? I was trying to figure out what it was the other day. It does look like a hanging doll. Well, hopefully it is a doll. Also, it kind of looks like the "Scream" mask standing there too. SUPER CREEPY!

What is that?!? And why would anyone hang a doll? That's strange and creepy!

Though it looks like a doll this clear image from Toledoblade it is a sign hanging on the barn. Wrong reply quote can't delete.
