The Chillicothe Gazette provided additional information on his criminal history:

Hanes pleaded guilty to indictment charges of involuntary manslaughter, aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery at age 16, according to Franklin County Common Pleas Court records. The case was bound over from juvenile court in 1995, and charges of aggravated murder, kidnapping and unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance were dropped against him. The details of that case were not immediately known.

He was in prison until he was 32 years old.

Four years later, in 2014, Hanes was back in court. He pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated robbery and was sentenced to three years in prison with three years of mandatory post-release control. As a result of the plea deal, the second charge of robbery was dropped against him.

Nelson has multiple convictions out of Licking County Common Pleas Court, including aggravated trafficking in drugs and intimidation of a witness in 1995; burglary in 1997; domestic violence in 2000; and various drug possession charges between 2003 and 2006, including charges of possession of a dangerous ordnance and felony fleeing.

In 2013, he was convicted in two separate cases where he was charged with possessing methamphetamine.

He was given, and violated, probation on several of the cases, officials reported, but the domestic violence conviction is the only one of those that didn’t result in some type of prison sentence.

He is also currently listed as a Violator at Large. Subject to change due to his apprehension.

No motive has been made public for the murder of Ted Timmons.

Due to the nature of the charges against Kuhn and the criminal histories of Hanes and Nelson, I am inclined to think it was a robbery. MOO.

Multiple tabs open, spiral notebooks, and too much time on my hands lately due to an injury.

Happy to try to bring things together for others to digest. My understanding benefits from everyone's input. And thank you. :)

That's her. DOB and the photo are a match.

Gallia County. Oy.

Gallia County constantly pops up for me when I look at Southern Ohio drug trafficking.

Off to see what I can see there.

Thanks, Ann99. It's always a pleasure to meet up with you on these threads. :)

Big, big thanks to you for getting this one open. Knew it needed to be done, but was avoiding it myself. :)

Have fun with the home prep. That's in my near future. Dreading it to no end.

Ross County Sheriff's Office Facebook post announcing arrest warrants for Hanes and Nelson.

First public notification of that information as far as I know.

Posted by RCSO on July 28 at 2:01 am.

Included information that Hanes and Nelson were believed to have fled the state.

Also specifies Kuhn charged with complicity in the aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary offenses.

Complicity defined in Ohio criminal law:

2923.03 Complicity.

(A) No person, acting with the kind of culpability required for the commission of an offense, shall do any of the following:

(1) Solicit or procure another to commit the offense;

(2) Aid or abet another in committing the offense;

(3) Conspire with another to commit the offense in violation of section 2923.01 of the Revised Code;

(4) Cause an innocent or irresponsible person to commit the offense.

Hard to think that she didn't do some talking when she was arrested. MOO.

Comments are kinda interesting, too.

Hwy 35 runs between Chillicothe and Gallipolis in Gallia County.

That gives me a better understanding of a "35'" tattoo I'm seeing among some FB friends of this crew.

I want to know why Haynes(I think) shot himself in the leg. He knew the cops were right on his tail and had him surrounded, its not like he was going to get away. He knew He was going to be arrested and going to jail. Even with the gunshot wound (after the Dr.s looked at it.) He could only avoid going to jail for a few days at the most. I'm wondering if there was someone in the jail he was trying to avoid at all cost.

Or maybe it was just an accident.

I thought the cop he killed got one off on him. I have got to take a break and catch up!

I do think it was an accident. Possibly when he was getting back in the second car with his finger still on the trigger. If he was trying to kill himself I think he would of shot himself in the head.
He is still in the hospital so he must of done some serious damage to his leg. I hope he has to live with leg pain for the rest of his life, and I hope it is severe pain.

Hanes remains hospitalized after shooting himself in the leg. http://m.cnsnews.com/news/article/
