[h=1]COLD CASE: How did an Ontario man end up dead in a Michigan dump?[/h] [h=2]Kevin Arendt lived near Square One. Five years after his death, police still aren’t certain whether his death was by misadventure or murder[/h] News Jul 10, 2017 by Louie Rosella
A drunken Kevin Arendt stumbles into the elevator of his city centre condominium in the early morning of June 28, 2012.
He exits on the second floor, even though he didn't live on that level.

What happened next is anybody's guess, as the 38-year-old man's body was found in a Michigan dump two days later.
More than five years later, Peel Regional Police admit they are stumped as to how he met his demise.
"We're at the end of the rope here and we're looking for a tip from the public," said now-retired Homicide Insp. Randy Cowan in a 2014 interview. "A complete 360 of his life at the time of his death has been conducted, and we still don't know if this was misadventure or murder."
.Here's what police know: sometime during the evening of July 27, 2012, Arendt takes his Jeep Liberty and goes out drinking. He visits a few bars and restaurants, including Croc Rock on Kingsbridge Garden Circle and PK Creek Bar & Grill on Dundas St. W. He meets two women at Croc Rock and they accompany him to a nightclub, but he's still alive when they leave him later that night, according to police
In a later sighting of him, Arendt is seen stumbling into the lobby of his condo building on Webb Drive just after 12:30 a.m. June 28 and taking the elevator. He gets off on the second floor, which isn't his floor. He lived in the condo complex with his fiancée.
Arendt never made it to his apartment and his fiancée reported him missing later that day. His body was discovered two days later by a landfill operator at the Brent Run Landfill near Flint, Mich.

Did Arendt, in his drunken state, somehow meet foul play that resulted in someone killing him and then dumping his body in a garbage bin?
• Did Arendt, due to being intoxicated, somehow slip down a garbage chute in the complex and die in the garbage bin?
• Did someone accidentally run over Arendt in the parking garage and then attempt to get rid of the body?
Police don't know the cause of death. The results of the toxicology test and other testing were also inconclusive.
