A composite drawing of the child has been completed and is attached. A still image from video footage of the suspect & child walking together, along with an updated flyer is also attached. Detectives continue working to develop leads, and case updates will follow as information becomes available.

I'm worried that as soon as the car is found, the Amber Alert will be lifted and this story will just fade away. I hope that little girl is safe. The man, whoever he is, was clearly desperate.

I encourage you to contact law enforcement with this info, even if you can't determine with certainty where you saw them. Surveillance recordings sometimes don't last long - don't let time pass trying to figure out exactly where it was.

A black man from Reno NV just posted on Instagram that his 6 year old daughter is missing. She is also black. On his Instagram the most recent pictures of her from this year she wears her hair in multiple pigtails . Her name is Tazayah Henderson and according to his comments he has already contacted police, but this amber alert was cancelled due to no new leads...I wonder if it's related.

I can't find her listed on missing kids and I couldn't find anything about an amber alert ever going active for her on Google, cancelled or not. But if he's contacted police then at least LE is aware that she could be our little unknown girl.

In the meantime, if that's not a viable lead then why has no one else stepped forward? Surely some parent or guardian has to be missing their child by now?

An Amber Alert issued for the girl seen in connection with a carjacking reported Thursday in Sparks has been canceled, according to the Sparks Police Department.
Ken Gallop with Sparks Police says the alert is no longer active "because all leads are exhausted and there are no new leads at this time."

Can you send me any information on Tazayah Henderson so I can dig around and get a thread started for her? Unless this ends up as the correct thread.... :thinking:

They never found the car it seems, but I bet it will be used in a robbery. There was an armed robbery at a casino just 2 days ago in Reno. Shots fired. May or may not be the same guy, but you never know. In this case, there was a Ford Explorer with a driver waiting outside.

The child was described as a black girl, about 8 years old, wearing a dark yellow dress and her hair in pigtails. The victim said the child appeared scared.

The suspect was last seen driving north on Pyramid Highway in the carjacked maroon Nissan Altima with Nevada plate 92F424.

Just a thought, but what if the child is actually a boy with long hair and dressed " like a " female, to throw off identification?
The composite pic. seems kind of harsh for a little girl...

My feeling is the car was ditched soon after he got to where he wanted to go. Now I can't draw so I don't mean to criticize, but the composite sketch of the little girl does not look like a little girl.

She may not be reported missing because perhaps she isn't missing at all and traveling with her criminal dad.
