Any Apple techs here? Got a question. So I discovered today that Jenna for sure had iMessage enabled at least I believe so. I tried from my Mac to send her a text via iMessage to her phone number and it was delivered but not read.
I Have gotten access to 2 icloud accounts now with old emails that she had and using the security questions.
Both of those show no phone associated with them anymore.
Any way to use her phone no and look up what her apple Id or email used for it ? Apple tech support was no help as expected

Only tangentially related (and I apologize if this has been answered). Whose cellular account is she on? Your parents?

Metro has been subpoenaed

First--I am so sorry for what you and your family are experiencing. As you know, everyone here is here to support you in finding Jenna.

I'm no expert, but something to try... go to Itunes and click on Account from the menu bar and choose to reset the password (make sure you're logged out of your own iTunes). Then click the Forgot ID option. You will need first/last name and the registered email address (so if you at least have a list, you can try a few). A lot of time, people will have set up their Apple ID a long time ago using an older email address. So it may be that one of two accounts you can access are the correct ones. (My Apple account uses an email I haven't used in 7 years!) You would then get the details sent to that address. This may be useless but thought I'd throw it out there in case it helps at all...

I've tried the 2 known emails that we have for her and no luck. It appears in February she switched to a new email for her Apple ID which we do not have

You need a current email address associated with her Apple account to reset the password. I do not believe a carrier could help you with this. The only alternative is the Police get in touch with Apple regarding a missing person investigation. Good Luck.

Ok I got in finally. I had been going to iCloud.com. I managed to figure out the right email from the Apple ID site and it shows her phone and phone no as a listed device.

I have an old iPad that I'm restoring with her account info.

It looks like though and this is odd, it says no back ups of apps and data available. All contacts and messages are wiped and photos only show January of this year and piror.

It's like she turned off all.back up settings or someone wiped a lot of her phone

I think it's possible that she turned off the icloud then. Is that possible with Apple?

I have nothing to add, subie_climber, other than my heartfelt prayers than Jenna is found safe.

I applaud what you are trying to do.

A concern that I have is that if this turns into a criminal case/trial vs. voluntary missing... that the defense can use against the prosecution of manipulation and confusion for the jury as to what was done when someone accessed the data.

Just sayin'... but :praying: it will never be a criminal case and she is missing of her own volition.

:)thinking: of another Dekalb county trial... of Andrea Schneiderman :pullhair: who is now OUT of jail/probation as of last month)

Messing with potential evidence trial... just consider :moo: :cow:

ETA: Corrected Andrea Schneiderman's name - who was involved, allegedly, in Rusty Sneiderman murder at their child's daycare in Dekalb County. Hemy Neuman case...

So January would be right before that possibly violent boyfriend she was with in February. Do any of her friends know who he was by name?

I think Jenna is a very, very intelligent woman.

Can't believe it has been this long. I feel so sad for her family and those who know and love her.

I've seen no mention of a potentially violent boyfriend. Did I miss something? What happened in January?

ETA: OK, link by insider is stating understanding of meaning of potentially violent boyfriend. I've seen reference to a male roomate, but nothing like a boyfriend (I thought that was denied?) and nothing about violence?

I've never seen such to base on... Can someone link please? I've missed such.

TIA

We have just heard through the grapevine of this but she would never tell us of this guy, there hasn't been any contact from.him or her in a while that we could find on the phone logs though

She would never tell us. All we really know is that she had a friend that she saw last Friday the one she left at 11pm to go home . He claims she wanted a relationship but he did not knowing the theft issue.

A friend was able to confirm that she back in Feb was on and off with another guy who was violent , but again she would not tell us who and that it was done and never happening again .

We tracked this phone no I found on metro to a.number that showed up a lot jan - March and then died off around when she said it was finished . Was also was around the time of the supposed theft

Sorry, Bently. Here's what I was referring to.

So she is on the lease??? Then the roommate can't not let you in. Go get a police escort or the leasing office etc and go!!!!!! This is insanity. A welfare check should have been done at that apt as soon as it was known she wad missing.
I don't agree that LE bases their level of interest by the fact she is a prostitute or escort or whatever... they just do their job they don't prioritize based on anything.

Bold by me: thank you for stating this. My hubby is ex-LE and I know many, many others who wouldn't dare prioritize missing person cases based on whether or not they suspected the victim may have been involved in illegal activity.

Thank you so very much for the refresher. It's amazing (and sad) that I follow but forget.

:shame:

Appreciate the prompting as I had forgotton that post. :grouphug: for helping out

Nefrititi (WSB person) said she never judges. She does cases on missing women here in Atlanta and is excellent. e.g. the Bridgett Sheil case, she became very close to the family. She is wonderful for these types cases, but in communicating with her personally, the case was assigned to another journalist for coverage.

Do you have any general information about him? Even a first name?
