The little bit of the parole hearing that I did see, it appeared to me that OJ still has a little bit of an anger issue.
The lady in red that was asking him questions, at one point it looked like he was getting riled up and denying what she was asking him, in which she responded telling him that he apparently answer the question differently last time he had been asked....he didn't like that. imo

I had to shut off the defense presser....so missed it, darn.

I am now curious to see if Florida accepts the felon (I think they will).

I am also curious to see what his parole regulations will be, for how long will he have to abide by the regulations, and will he try and get them lessened.

Maybe OJ Simpson can join up with Casey Anthony.

Casey Anthony Says She ‘Can Empathize’ with O.J. Simpson: ‘There Are a Lot of Parallels’
http://people.com/crime/casey-anthony-oj-simpson-empathize/

Nearly six years after being acquitted of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Casey Anthony says she feels a kinship with O.J. Simpson.

In her first on-the-record interview ever about the case, the 30-year-old Florida woman told the Associated Press she has been researching the former football star’s 1994 murder trial. She told the AP that “there are a lot of parallels” between the two cases, both of which ended with shocking acquittals.

Go figure! I can see Casey Anthony and OJ Simpson empathizing with Jerry Sandusky, Martin Shkreli, Brock Turner, Joran van der Sloot, Lori Drew, Fred Phelps, Osama bin Laden, etc.

as much as I wish he would never get out, I do believe he will get his parole. He apparently has been a "good" inmate, accept blame. Improved himself (computer clases), etc. I see no reason to deny parole.

Computer classes lol, woop tee doo...

RBBM

Did she mean she has a kinship with OJ because they're both attention hounds?
Because they both worked hard to cash in on their notoriety?
Because they both left big debts that they will never pay off?
Because they both got away with murder?

Sorry, for some reason her statements just burned my butt! :butthead:

It just another way to say that she is a public enemy.

I remember when OJ killed - sorry - "allegedly" killed Nicole & Ron, I believe the kids stayed with Arnelle for awhile, so I thought she was close to those two kids. :dunno:

I saw on the news this morning that 52 million people watched the parole hearing....

Actually, one attorney on CNN this morning said he was convicted of 11 Class A Felonies.... so it was an appropriate sentence!

Had turn off the live stream when OJ's attorney came on....

Oh, I think we'll be hearing from him again.....

Oh - the person that said they were going to listen to the parole board press conference - anything interesting said?? TIA!

Morning Niner! :)

I agree according to the multiple charges but even in his last hearing he was already given parole on three of those charges. Of course it meant nothing since he did not get parole on the other charges.

Some of the attorneys I have seen speak out believe the DA stacked the deck on multiple charges that normally wouldn't have been added had it not been the infamous OJ aka double murderer.

The reasons they gave for this not being a crime warranting 9-33 years in sentencing is in this particular crime no one was shot and he came to steal his own possessions. I don't think I have seen a case where someone robs to get their own property. It shows how truly stupid OJ really is. All he had to do is contact the NV police department about it and they could have handled it rather than the goons who stormed into the room like they belonged to the mafia.

I do think the sentence was excessive but I really don't care he spent 9 years in prison and I am very glad he did since he did not spend one day in prison for the two murders he got away with. 9 years without freedom is better than nothing I suppose.

Oh let me ask you this because I did not follow the robbery trial closely. What sentences did the other three get especially the one who pulled the gun on the victim during the armed robbery? tia

JMO though

I'm wondering if he can go to Florida if arrangements haven't already been made?
In other cases those arrangements were made in advance. Maybe this is different?

O.J. Simpson Released From Nevada Prison on Parole

''He is expected to remain in Nevada for the immediate future; Florida and California, where he has lived in the past, did not receive requests for transfer before his release, officials said. ''

I am one of those that believes he has too high opinion of himself to go quietly. I think he will STILL call attention to himself in order to stay in the news. I can't even imagine how the families (Goldman, etc) feel about his release.

Wonder which network will get an exclusive interview...

OJ Simspon's worst enemy is not the Browns or Goldmans. OJ Simpson's worst enemy is OJ Simpson.

That being said, I would not be surprised if he went back to prison again.

OJ is planning on living in Las Vegas for now it appears:

O.J. Simpson plans to live at a home in the Las Vegas area for the foreseeable future, a Nevada parole official said Sunday -- possibly ending speculation that the notorious former football star might ditch the state for Florida.
...
State Parole and Probation Capt. Shawn Arruti told The Associated Press that Simpson has one approved residential plan, and it doesn't currently include a move to Florida or any other state. However, Arruti said that could change in the future.

However:

O.J. Simpson’s lawyer Malcolm LaVergne said that he will move back to Florida, his home before the Las Vegas robbery. Florida’s Attorney General, Pam Bondi said that O.J. Simpson is not welcome in Florida, but if he meets the parole transfer criteria, the state must allow him to move home.

“I’ve handled parole hearings my entire time as a prosecutor and … I have never seen such lack of remorse in my entire career,” Bondi said to “Fox and Friends” Sunday. “It’s a shame, frankly, because his children have led really good lives — they’ve chosen to live under anonymity, and now he’s gonna bring them to the forefront of this.”

2 of his kids live in Florida. No word that I can find on whether or not they want their dad in Florida.

OJ Simpson's lawyer blasts Bondi as 'stupid,' says Simpson definitely coming to Florida
Monday, October 2, 2017 3:38pm
OJ Simpson's lawyer Malcolm Lavergne is outraged with Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, blasting her as "possibly the stupidest person on the planet."
[…]
It's virtually a foregone conclusion that Simpson will be moving to Florida when he chooses and once Nevada approves it. That's handled by the Nevada Division of Parole and Florida department of corrections, not the attorney general."
[…]
Lavergne argued Simpson has a right to move to Florida under the rules of the Interstate Compact, which says states must automatically accept transfers if certain criteria are met, such as the offender being a resident of the receiving state, having family in that state and having means to support themselves.
Lavergne noted that Simpson's grown children live in Tampa Bay and that Simpson was a Florida resident at the time of his Nevada arrest.
[…]
Lavergne called it "unprecedented" for an attorney general to single out an offender seeking transfer.
"He has zero circumstances that would prevent his transfer. Florida has a million felons running around. Is he the only parolee in Florida?" Lavergne said.
[…]
Bondi did acknowledge Sunday that Florida may have no choice but to accept Simpson.
[…]

Wow, such maturity from an allegedly professional adult.

O.J. Simpson kicked out of The Cosmopolitan after reports of being 'unruly'

Simpson was drunk and became disruptive at the Clique bar. Simpson reportedly was angry at hotel staff and glasses broke at the bar. Security showed up and removed Simpson from the hotel.
