Websluethers who are helping TES in this search really make me proud to be a member of this community! They are the ones who make our site great! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing something that I know most of us would like to be able to help do. You guys who are helping searching are an amazing group!

Hello all! My 14 year old son and I drove down yesterday and were disappointed to find that he could not participate because he is not 18. I had spoken to TES home office last week and guess we just had a misunderstanding. We were disappointed but told them that we would be willing to do whatever was necessary. We were told that searchers would be coming back at lunch and they needed food. Planning a picnic is right up my alley!! So we took off and found a Subway. The manager told us that he had already donated one platter, but would give us a 15% discount. So we purchased 4 more platters. Then on to Publix ~ the manager told us that they would have to "go through corporate" for any discount or donations. No time for that! So we bought 100 pieces of fried chicken, 100 bags of chips, tons of oranges and bananas, napkins and wet wipes. At least we felt like we were doing something to help. By the way ~ the fruit was a big hit.

If anyone here knows how to contact Tim Miller and the search is still going this coming weekend, I would like to offer to load up a couple grills and bring them down to cook hamburgers, hot dogs and the like for lunch on Sunday. I'm sure that I can raise money locally to pay for a good spread. Someone needs to let me know ASAP.

Big hugs and kisses to all of you working so hard to find Caylee!

Do you mind if I e-mail your note to Tim Miller, to ask about this weekend? I know he is worried about the weather holding out, due to the prediction of the hurricane.

I am very saddened and surprised by the lack of volunteers showing up to search for little Caylee. This has nothing to do with how you feel about the family; it's about doing the right thing for our precious little angel Caylee!

I had an idea - I know it probably isn't feasible, but I wanted to ask anyway. Is there any chance of hotels and other businesses donating rooms or discounting rooms for searchers? I live in North Carolina, but I am so saddened by this and really want to see closure for Caylee and everyone who has poured their hearts into this case. I can't afford the high amount it would cost to travel to Orlando and pay for lodging, etc. I'd be willing to bet that's an issue for other members who are out of town, but would be willing to donate time to help in the search. Is there any chance that any hotels, airlines, buses, etc. would be willing to donate some resources or offer discounts for people who legitimately want to travel to Orlando to help in the search? It would make a big difference to me. If travel and lodging costs weren't an issue, I would already be on my way. It breaks my heart for little Caylee that so few people have shown up to help find her.

Blink, I want to applaud all your efforts in keeping everyone updated on the search, ways of donating, and reminding everyone to get out there and search! Do you or anyone else have any idea if what I have suggested is feasible? BTW, I have followed your posts throughout this case and I can tell your heart is really invested in it. Bless you. :blowkiss:

nickismom--you and your son are amazing!!! What a wonderful thing you did today. :gold_star:

I wouldn't mind one bit. I actually emailed him right after I posted this. Don't know if he's swamped with emails and may not receive it. My offer is serious. Obviously, a little planning would help. I know we don't have any control over the weather, but am hoping that if things aren't bad and Caylee has not been found, many more people will be out this weekend. We would be grateful for the opportunity to help. I have sent him my phone numbers and email address. Just have someone contact me. Thanks much!!

What can I say? Like all of you I fell in love with this baby at first sight..
I think it is a great idea, we are all thinking alike on a few threads. I need to get in touch with Tim Miller for thoughts and confirmations and we can go from there. Thanks you so much to WT and all off you trying to help in every way. We need her home, it is right.

Barb, I have a few emails into Tim and Erin as well as a voice mail on the weekend issue as well. He has my cell, if you get to him first would somone call me as I am out for a few hours and I dont want us duplicating any efforts.. or of course all of us emailing the same thing :)

What a great problem to have- everyone jumping in, I am so proud of all of you here- what company to be in:)
:blowkiss::blowkiss:

I guess since the idea of bringing in a big name doesn't go anywhere else...this is as good of a thread as any.

Who is Miss Florida now?! She might draw some attention and a large crowd. (At least, for the male population!)

I thought that was you as your man-plans are going to be making you a resident there...

Hey All- At the risk of getting something thrown at me "virtually"
Say Happy Birthday to Seriously Searching... I'll let her tell you the number, who knows what she told YM??:blowkiss::blowkiss:

AWESOME!

Thank you for doing all this. Fabulous.

I think the grill/burgers idea is great! Inexpensive and your son can participate. I have taken my son on several missing functions here in my state and I think it is great to teach our children how important it is to give your time and help others....it will come back to you all 10 fold!

YOU ROCK! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
TES is supposedly staying until caylee is found.

A BBQ would be awesome! They would really appreciate im sure!
Please call Publix corporate or somewhere else that has hamburgers - maybe in bulk like costco or sams club, and see if you can get the meat donated - it would help tremndously for you. Then with getting donations from people, you can fund whatever you dont end up getting donated from a store.

GOOD LUCK! please keep us updated!

I also meant to ask if there is anything administratively those of us who aren't in Florida can do to help? Anything like contacting media outlets, any phone calls, or emails that need to be handled? I'm sure there are lots of other great ideas out there of things we can do to help; I'm just pulling my hair out because I feel so helpless sitting here. I'll be glad to PM my personal info to anyone who knows of anything I can do. Thanks!

If he wasn't so busy with the case, I'd say we ought to have him send her a Happy Birthday email! lol!! :) I'll be sure to wish her a happy birthday! Thanks for letting us know!

My child was so eager to go down and help. I told him that I had some misgivings about it. He thought I meant alligators and snakes and said "Geez Mom, it's not like I didn't grow up and Florida. I'm not afraid of alligators and snakes!!" I explained that I was concerned that finding a dead child would be something that would affect him the rest of his life. He came to me on Sunday night and very seriously told me that he understood what I was saying, but that he thought the most important thing was to find this child. He is truly awesome.

Bless you and your son!! Your generosity really warms my heart! I am so glad to be on a board with wonderful people like you who are giving so selflessly of themselves to help bring "our" baby home! I can't help but call her our baby because I think we all feel like she's family to us now. :beats:

I have many contacts in our community and truly believe that I could raise enough money to pay for food by making a bunch of phone calls. Just get the word to Tim Miller.
