I can't interpret your response to my post clearly. Do you have trouble with my opinion that the poster I was responding to was correct in assumptions of what happened?

If you are simply venting, I understand. Venting is good even though it doesn't really help with investigation of exactly what may or may not have happened in this case, or any other case.

Personally, I would rather hear 1 post that offers potential considerations and/or possibilities than 1000 vents. If I want venting I will go to youtube.

According to the statistics that were offered by Klaas on NG this evening, it would be quite impossible to even "find" the perps in order to gather them to your imaginary island.

I understand why you want that island, but it is an imaginary dream and not a viable alternative, or a rational consideration. Again, venting is fine if you really do not wish to solve the problem but simply wish to get rid of some of that adrenalin that is pushing the limit at the moment.

The house is about 500 yards from Grove Park Elementary School and not far from where Somer ran off from her twin brother and older sister about 2:45 p.m. on Monday.

Investigators also searched for evidence in a public restroom at the Orange Park Athletic Association across the street from the house.

Clay County Detective Bruce Owens, who the sheriff credited with the idea to search through the city's trash, spoke to the media Thursday morning.

"I knew that Tuesday morning, trash was being collected," Owens said. "I knew that if a truck was seen, it would probably be the best just to follow it ... so they could isolate it from the normal dump so they would have the opportunity to search."

Crews have brought in a digging machine from the State Fire Marshall's Office to dig at various parts of the property and to lift heavy objects, according to officials. This is the area where 7-year-old Somer Thompson was last seen. FDLE agents are working overtime at the home, searching for evidence.

MOO is that if I want to vent that some son of a B**(h took the life of an innocent baby and threw her in the damm trash just like garbage, then I will - please just go on by any and all of my venting posts. I believe the address given is where they were arrested. They were probably out wondering around in the crowd and got noticed by an officer. Possibly out wondering around looking for unlocked vehicles to rob. It wouldn't surprise me if they had warrants out for them and were just noticed in the crowd. Just a thought anyway. Maybe they were out there trying to look like law abiding citizens helping in the search for Somer. Sometimes these criminals get the idea that the best place to hide is right under the cops noses....and unfortunately, sometimes that turns out to be true.

Somer Thompson's body has been found. Somer Thompson, 7, missing since Monday, was found in a Georgia landfill. This was 50 miles north of Jacksonville, Florida, where she was abducted. Somer Thompson was found partially clothed.

People who sexually abuse and murder children can't be fixed...they don't need to be on an Island or in prison for life...they need to be executed in mass numbers and sent straight to hell. jmo

Yes, I mapped it. The location of his arrest is 5.6 miles to the vacant house. His Myspace profile is private. He last updated his status around 5 pm Florida time. That tells me that his arrest took place after they started investigating the vacant house.

The fact that he is an athlete that went to school at Orange Park tells me that he has to be quite familiar with that area near the park.

I think a rant thread would be great for these numerous cases. Who wouldn't want to rant? I think there are at least a couple of them just for this case in the parking lot. Some are organized to take a stand and some are just to vent. Sorry, I have no links, just going by what I've seen posted in this thread.

I too was thinking along those lines. Actually I wondered if they tried to loot the house as the family was out at a vigil or press conference or whatever.

I agree with all that you have said. However, it needs to go further. There needs to be a MASSIVE educational drive put on by the schools, the parents, the church, and anyone else that could participate. Children need to be told the things and people to watch out for, and I don't just mean RSO's. I mean family, friends of the family, etc. If we can get the children educated, then maybe we can take away the easy targets! It is sad in today's world that children can't go out and play safely, or go to a friend's house down the block without disappearing! I really believe that if the children know what and who to lookout for, we would have far less headlines like we have seen this year!

I'm joining you in your humble opinion. You can't fix them, the lengthier the prison terms, the more likely they are to kill their victims to avoid them.
I just wonder, in Somer's case, if she was killed by someone that had already learned not to leave witnesses (got caught last time) or someone that considered this for long enough to make a decision before hand that they were going to kill their victim (not been caught)?
Normally, this part is easy for me to make up my mind on. But there isn't enough out there for me to decide. I would love to think he's registered, because it would make him easier to find. But I am starting to doubt that he is, that he might be too smart. The whole case is an investigative and forensic nightmare. Did the perp just get lucky, or did he really know what he was doing?

there are kids who sexually assault other kids. Sometimes when it's a child killer they don't really know what to do, so they use rock, teeth, sticks what ever they can get ahold of. Eric Smith killed a little boy. He wasn't sexually assulted, but it had sexual overtones to it. His pants were pulled down and he was displayed.

The case linked above is not linked in any to Somer's. Although it serves to remind us that kids can do this to other kids. The little girl was 8, gang raped by 4 boys ranging in age from 9-14. They didn't kill her, but you can imagine they came close.
