OK...here I go again! Forgive me!
And in response to the Solitary Confinement, as we all know, even if we feel different, in the judicial system, people are innocent until proven guilty, with that being said, (and as a former employee of the Orient Road Jail) it is not uncommon, for detention to put HIGH PROFILERS in solitary confinement...for their OWN safety...believe it or not. Detention is responsible for DDM's safety while in jail...therefore that may or may not be the reason for not putting her into general population with other inmates. Also, it is not uncommon that they could have her on a watch...it is also not uncommon for a person to have different ideations when being charged with such crimes as MURDER. These may or may not be the reasons for the confinement, but in my experiences of working in Detention...alot of times with this type of case and the media coverage that has been involved...like I said...believe it or not, she has the right to be protected in confinement, innocent until proven guilty....unfortunately.
Thanks, Finally, I like it when you participate.
That is probably exactly right why she is in solitary. I just hadn't thought of it and the media didn't say why. If she has angered people on the board by her lies and her actions and we don't even have to share living space with her, then I had figured she was probably doing something of the same sort there and rousing resentment. Or she was unhappy to her surroundings having accustomed herself to a life that Abraham's wealth could bring her and she was throwing hissy fits. But you are probably exactly right. She is high profile. She probably will be better off if she is confined away from the general population for her own protection, from the other inmates and even from herself.
I suppose she could be having ideations after having been charged with murder, but I still see her as the type of person who would only hurt other people. I am not a profiler or anything, that is just my opinion and it could be 100% wrong as I am good at being wrong when it comes to opinions. I'm sure the jail wouldn't want to take the chance. Just the way I see it, strictly only my opinion, unless it was a grandstand gesture designed to manipulate others for sympathy or attention, I don't see her hurting herself. And if she did make a gesture to manipulate others, I'd think it would be a superficial gesture that would not have much chance of success.
She may be innocent of something, but the way I see it, I haven't figured out what that is yet. She sure isn't innocent of deceit. She's got too many conflicting statements to ever call her an honest or credible person. So, she may be
legally innocent until proven guilty of a crime, but the guiltier you look of a crime, the more you have wrapped yourself up in concealing a crime, the less chance you are going to have getting anyone to believe you are innocent of involvement in that crime, whether that be the jury or the general public. And so far there is no credible witness to the crime. OJ Simpson was found not guilty of the crime of murder in a court of law, but how many people have you heard or read after the fact, even the press, doubt his innocence of that crime? So, you have
legally innocent until proven guilty, and then you have public opinion and media editorials, even after being proven legally innocent.
I really do hope that she is able to get the very best lawyer and the very best defense possible. I want that for everyone who is charged with a crime. For one reason, if a jury finds them guilty, it is harder to get an appeal when everything is done right. And I believe everyone should be able to have a chance they are innocent not matter how guilty they look. We've put enough people behind bars who years later have been found to have not committed the crime, and just one innocent person behind bars is too many. Someday that innocent person could be someone a friend or family member of mine. So, I honestly do want her to have an excellent defense team, no sarcasm there at all. I don't think it will help her much, but I still think like every other American, she deserves to have all of her rights protected. And if she did take those same rights away from Abraham by murdering him and that is proven in a court of law, then we have the Florida Corrections system just waiting to check her in. Florida even has the death penalty as a parting gift.
That being said, she admits the murder weapon was hers, she admits to being present at the time of the crime, she was the first person to announce publicly that he had been shot, she knew he had been shot twice, she admits to concealing the crime after he was murdered. She showed where his body was buried to the informant. She had hired her exhusband to dig the hole. She gave an undercover police officer the murder weapon. She had most if not all of Abraham's assets transferred from him to her control or her boyfriend's control. She has blamed even her own child for the murder along with several other people. Motive, weapon, opportunity. The scales of justice seem to have tipped quite a bit for her to overcome. In my wrong more than right opinion, she really isn't looking too innocent to me.
