AVONDALE, AZ - Police are asking the public for help to identify a woman whose body was found in a river bottom in the West Valley on Sunday.
Reuben Gonzales with the Avondale Police Department said the body was discovered by a local fisherman in the Salt River bottom near Indian Springs and EL Mirage roads before 1 p.m.
The woman is between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall, 100 to 110 pounds, with long brown hair and blue eyes.
Police said distinguishing features include a sun/moon tattoo on the top of her foot, a belly button piercing, silver toe nail polish, and she was wearing a t-shirt with a yin yang symbol on the front.
Police have provided the photo of a tattoo similar to the one on the womans foot.
