That is actually a really good idea. Except I don't know how many people could handle living with her. She is so manic and nutty. I can't imagine having to go to school and dealing with her manic, pressured speech all day. But maybe there are some who are perky enough and love kids enough to deal!

I wondered that too! In fact, her whole face looks different and off. Very puffy and crazy brows. I'm thinking it is a sign of intense mental illness. She claims she only gets 3 hours of sleep per night.

People keep bailing her out, probably mostly because she is a "celebrity". They feel for her and also for her kids and think she shouldn't pay for her mistakes. But i think that is a bit of a disservice. because I see something very bad happening one day in her house. An accident with the kids, a complete mental breakdown, something bad. No one can get by on 3 hours sleep indefinitely.

The best thing I think would be someone taking conservatorship over her and any funds she receives for the kids. Then, that person can take control of her life. Put her and the kids on a schedule. Mandate that she get psychological help and medication. There is not enough money or there are not enough adults around so, like someone else said, the older kids have to be taught to help with the younger. It's not fair but what other choice is there? The kids are three. It would be a lot of trauma to put them in the foster care system. She is not crazy enough to sever parental rights at this point so they would simply languish in foster care wondering why they weren't with their siblings.

This woman needs someone to take control, get her on meds, in therapy and organize the children's lives.

But that's not going to happen because no one wants to deal with the mess. And anyone from SoCal should know that CPS in O.C. has much worse to deal with than her - horrible cases of abuse and severe neglect, on a daily basis. They are overwhelmed and likely won't step in until the signs are very obvious or until it's too late.

What a mess.

Has she even thought about the consequences of her brood viewing this when they are teenagers? Or when they go to school and all the kids giggle about what Mommy did?

I know- this is one woman who clearly has her priorities screwed up! She also buys expensive Mac brand lipstick- it's all about her looking good. What she doesn't see, is that the rest of the world thinks she's an idiot and an unfit mother! I wish she would lose custody of her children, they'd be so much better off. At least Kate Gosselin's children seem to be faring better...

Well color me crazy! I'm in California and use the same utility companies as she does. If I don't pay my bill, it's shut off period (never happened, but that's the rule from what I've been told). I didn't know or think you could include utilities in a bankruptcy.

If she remains in California, she's going to have to pay those bills in order to get new service, and pay one heck of a deposit. You really don't want to mess around with the gas/electric folks - especially if you need service to house 14 children.

And I didn't know the DMV (in CA) took IOU's. If you visit any office, you pay for the service. It's not a loan. My only thought is she bounced a check to them (in which case would be a criminal offense and shouldn't be written off in a bankruptcy). And I'm sure the DMV will kindly want funds before renewing any necessary registration or license renewals ;)

I would expect to see credit cards on a bankruptcy - not basic essentials, while she's walking around in UGG boots.

Just caught on HLN that she wants to build a fitness empire to get off state aid! It's becoming pretty clear to me that she looks like she's coming completely unhinged!!! Is this what's best for the children? I can not even imagine day in and day out with 14 children on 3 hours of sleep! And other children giggling? I'm afraid worse than that. I can see parents of classmates telling their children to stay away! That's beyond sad... :(

I know! I'm not a doctor, but she often sounds like she has a serious case of ADD (she's all over the map). You can't physically live on 3 hours of sleep for an extended period of time - the body just doesn't like it. On top of that, she tells Dr. Drew she sleeps on the floor :what:.

If she can't organize herself enough to pay the utilities instead of getting a Brazillian Blow Out - how is he going to handle running an empire!

I never follow news for Nadia. My Husband was unaware of her for the most part (because of his job and being overseas so much in the past decade) and had seen her on tv recently.

He showed me an interview with her he had seen. I think it was showbiz or something like that.

She's clearly in over her head. I was surprised at the job she is doing though, cute kids. I was surprised that she hasn't developed depression over this situation.

She needs help with those kids, for the sake of the kids. It's a terrible situation that she created but it needs to be fixed for the kids sake. :(

This is actually very sad. Very tragic. IMO, this woman is seriously mentally ill. I can't stand her and she created this mess that is hurting her kids, but it is very, very sad. Can you imagine? She's going to masturbate on video for money. Wow.

She keeps sinking lower and lower and doing everything she said she never would do. I don't see this ending well. She's crazy and desperate. Bad combo.

This situation is entirely something she had made for yourself. Her idea to have as many children as possible at one time. On purpose. Deliberately. By having a very large number of embryos implanted. Even though she didn't have a husband or large sums of money to help her care for her numerous children. She got what she wanted. I don't see why everybody else should fall over themselves to "help" her-it's just enabling her.
 
I don't follow her news at all, but I was watching The Soup and had to come
here. I thought Joel was making a joke.

What an awful thing. This is very sad and tragic. How can she do this?

Well, her fault and OUR fault for giving her attention. She guessed correctly that the world would be fascinated with the multiple births and the 14 children.

I think it's time we stop paying attention to anyone with more than a few children. We don't have to mistreat them and we certainly shouldn't blame or shame the children. But for the good of the planet, it's time we stop pretending it's "cute" or "interesting" to overbreed.

She will probably have to resort to being a high priced escort eventually. There's no way that one person who isn't wealthy can support that many kids even if she did work and scrimp.
 
Well, she screwed up her attempt at bankruptcy... I hope this does not lead to those babies being put on the street.

But thankfully she got her drivers license back. Seems she garnered a traffic infraction, failed to pay the fine or show up in court, totally ignoring it until her license were snatched. In the end she had to pay triple the fine and re-take the written part of the drivers test.
