wonder if the trial will be allowed to be televised? Does anyone know the normal procedure for media during trials there?

No, trials aren't televised in the UK. No live sound recording either. In fact, I only found out recently that the court artists aren't even allowed to sketch in the court, they have to memorise things and do their drawings outside.

I think a Scottish court recently televised a sentencing but that is the nearest we've got - and I doubt that will change.

As interesting as televised trials can be, I'm glad we don't have them here.
I'm hoping proper justice will be served for poor April.

Bridger's case is scheduled to start at noon on Monday, in Mold Crown Court. I imagine that it will be reported on daily by all the main media.

Clive Sharp will be sentenced on Monday in the same court complex, for the murder of Irish vet, Catherine Gowing.

Update re Catherine Gowing - Clive Sharpe sentencing this morning at Mold Crown Court.

Court 1, Hearing commenced 1100, concluded 1150. Sharpe sentenced to life imprisonment, minimum term of 37 years.

We know who's next in Court 1.:furious:

County Times reporters Richard Jones and Dominic Robertson report the trial live from Mold Crown Court

A two month delay in response to a request from the defence to make "more enquiries", but nothing that was discussed today can be reported. I guess something must have recently come to light.

Balloons will be released into the sky to mark what would have been the sixth birthday of missing school girl April Jones.

April’s family, including her mum Coral and her dad Paul, will release the pink balloons from the Bryn y Gog Green on Thursday, close to the spot where the five-year-old went missing on October 1 last year.

The gathering will start at about 6pm, with the balloons, with names and messages for April, released between 6.30pm and 7pm.

Coral and Paul Jones of Machynlleth, who asked people to wear pink ribbons as a sign of faith April will be found alive, have said they will not give up on their daughter until she is found.
