On Saturday, March 29, 2008, at approximately 11:33 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the 6900 block of Georgia Avenue, NW, for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, the officers discovered an apparent adult black female suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. There was no identification on the decedents body.
The MPD is seeking the publics assistance in identifying this victim. She is described as a black female with short black hair, 20-30 years of age, 57" in height, and 130 lbs. She was wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans when she was discovered. She has a tattoo on her left breast that appears to be two hearts surrounded by ivy and flowers; a ribbon with the names "Face" and "Kato" wrapped around the hearts.
The case is under investigation by members of the Departments Criminal Investigation Division Homicide Branch. Anyone with information about the identity of this victim or who has information pertaining this case is asked to call Detectives Paul Regan or Doug Carlson on 202 645-9600 or the Metropolitan Police Departments Command Information Center (CIC) at 202 727-9099.
