There has been some confusion as to if Casey has changed the Zanny story about the last day that Casey saw Caylee with Zanny. I have found the three different stories that Casey has claimed and I am putting them all together in one thread, along with the link to where the story can be found, so that it will be easier to find them. I also would like any comments as to if you think that the story will help or hurt the defense, if the story will even be used at trial and how these stories could make Casey look bad or good in the eyes of the jury. Any comments or feedback would be welcome!

Story number one:

Transcript of taped interview of Casey Anthony by Detective Yuri Melich July 16th, 2008

On June 9th, 2008 Casey took Caylee to a baby sitter's house. Zenaida Fernandez Gonzales. Zenaida lived at Sawgrass Apartments on Conway and Michigan, apartment #210. Casey has known Zenaida almost 4 years, 4 years this Christmas. Casey met her througha mutual friend named Jefferey Michael Hopkins, met him at Nickelodean at Universal. Zenaida was his son's nanny. Casey works at Universal and received a new phone from work. Casey left her phone with Zenaida's and Jefferey's numbers on the sim card on her desk at work. Casey hasn't been at work for at least three or four days. Zenaida started watching Caylee for the last year and a half, two years. Jeff offered to have her watch both kids (Zack Hopkins, Jeff's son also). Lauren Gibbs had watched Caylee until maybe April of 2006. At the end of 2006 to the beginning of 2007 Casey took Caylee to Zenaida's apartment. Zenaida had an apartment on Glenwood but it's off of Bumby and Robinson, close to downtown. Zenaida lived there for quite a few months and moved over to Sawgrass just recently this year. Casey got off work on the 9th, left Universal to pick up Caylee like a normal day. Casey shows up to the apartment, nobody answers. Casey calls Zenaida's cell phone and it is out of service. Casey sits on the steps and waits for a bit to see if maybe it was a fluke. Time passed Casey didn't hear from anyone. Casey went over to Jay Blanchard Park and checked a couple of other places. A couple of stores, just places that Zenaida has taken Caylee before. After about 7 o'clock when Casey still hadn't heard anything she was getting pretty upset, pretty frantic. Casey went to a neutral place. Casey ended up going to her boyfriend, Anthony's house, who lives in Sutton Place. Casey did not talk to Anthony about Caylee. As to why Casey never called the police, Casey thought she could handle this herself. Casey was scared that something would happen to Caylee if Casey notified the authorities or got the media involved. Or her parents which she knew would have done the same thing. Fear of the potential, Caylee getting hurt, of not seeing Caylee again. Is there any underline cause to why Zenaida would've taken Caylee? No nothing that , she loves Caylee and how great a kid she is.

Story number 2:

Casey Anthony Jailhouse Letters to Robyn aka Cookie

page 10 of the 11 page letter/note to Robyn/Cookie from Casey:

"You want to know something, I know that Caylee's nanny, the "real" Zenaida, the girl who was my friend for 4 years, I know in my heart that she's not responsible. And I don't blame her for not showing her face. Would you want to be sitting here with me for something you didn't do? Considering the circumstances, you technically are and it sucks. And I know this goes without saying, but outside of myself and my legal team, not a soul knows this. I was going to take Caylee and move away. Unfortunately my plans got beyond tangled when Zany wouldn't tell me where she and Cays were. I had asked her to take Cays for a few days so I could put the rest of our stuff together, money I had saved, new clothes, new everything. That's why I waited to report her missing, because she was and wasn't. I would give anything to go back to that day and to not have let Caylee out of my sight."

ETA: Forgot to add the link for the letter. http://www.wftv.com/pdf/23069597/detail.html

This goes along with story number 3.

George Anthony's FBI interview 7/31/08

Part 3 of 4 starting at 8:55.

"I'm not sure if my wife told you or not. Jay Blanchard Park in Orlando has come up. And supposedly this is a scenerio that Jesse he held my daughter down when someone grabbed my grand daughter. Jay Blanchard Park comes up again. I don't know, I don't know. Do I want to go out there and look and watch, sure. And the Zenaida thing came up. Zenaida supposedly was there with Caylee and Casey. Zenaida held my daughter down and you know her sister Samantha took my grand daughter and left with her. I don't know. This is all just speculation. Names thrown out there. Again what it boils down to is my daughter knows what's going on and she's not saying a word. It boils down to all of that. We keep on going round and round and still the center is right there and it's just frustrating."

The truth doesn't change. If she didn't do anything wrong, why did she have to tell three different stories to cover herself? I think it hurts her in the eyes of a jury.

MOO

These are wildly different stories!!! It seems pop was admitting that is what they are stories.

When was it she kind of changed up her story to the police and said she dropped her off there at the base of the stair way to Zanny, to imply she had no idea the apartment was unfurnished, and ready for a new tenant as THE POLICE had just let her know that they knew it was vacant since March? She said something along the lines of we used to meet up there. Was it when they were really hammering her at Universal? It was priceless. If the jury hears those interviews, imo it is over, she gets caught in lie after lie, undeterred, she continues lying.:furious:

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_SyH8-6Pho[/ame]
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLquF7kRN9w[/ame]
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nig-ITwHAWM[/ame]
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQaBs6S4ZTA[/ame] It is very, very obvious there is no Zanny. The detectives and Sgt. Allen aren't buying it for one second. Not one second. I don't think the jury will think there is a Zanny.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rA4nBgphfQ[/ame] Eight minute mark Casey said ..."I purposely misled you!"
"They are gonna crucify you for this!" Yuri implores Casey to tell them the truth!!!!

Didn't the prisoner Maya say something about yet another version of Zanny coming to the home and taking her? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Hrwxxj-uDc[/ame]

I think these are extremely harmful for the defense. I've always assumed they would be let in, at least the statements to police, and possibly the obviously staged letters to the other inmate (nice try casey!). They really show what a lying conniving plotting person casey is, although like everything else in her life, she's no good at it.

The stories are ludicrous childish and inconsistent not only with each other but with what we know was reality for casey. By that I mean we know she took pictures of everything and everyone and there are no zani pics. We know Cindy's controlling/obsessive personality, she definitely would have known who zani was if she was around for 4 years and watching Caylee. And no contact info for Zani? On what planet? Met her through a person who doesn't exist and at a job she never had and left contact info on a phone she never had on a desk she never had at an office that was never hers. Also - we know she wasn't saving money or buying anything to 'move away', she was simply buying fun stuff and partying (lingerie beer sunglasses).

Of course you could go on all day with this but all of these nonsense stories need to be in evidence to show that casey was covering up from day one and trying to change/amend her story to fit what she perceived would be better accepted by the public (ex-wasn't it nice of her to be concerned for zani and forgive her? Aww she can't be that bad can she? Let's set her free!) In addition to the 31 days, these stories should really convince people she is at the very least responsible for caylee's death and a cover up, and probably much much worse.

Story number three.

Lee Anthony Deposition in the Civil Case against Casey Anthony
Feb. 27, 2009
Beginning on page 89

Lee: Casey said that she dropped--or she went with Caylee to, to Jay Blanchard Park and she met up with, you know, Zenaida there, 'cause that's where, you know, she told her to meet, you know, to, to get Caylee for the day and Zenaida was there, as well as Zenaida's sister, which I can't remember her name right now, and her two--

Q: But she told you--

Lee: --daughters.

Q: Okay. So--but she told--

Lee: or children.

Q: And Casey told you this?

Lee: Yes.

Q: When?

Lee: When she was out of jail. So if August is right the first time she was out of jail, it was that--during that time.

Q: Okay. Did that story ever change?

Lee: Since that time, no. It's a different story that she gave the police on when she was arrested 'cause she was--told Sawgrass Apartments when she was arrested.

Q: Did you--let me ask you this. What did she tell the police about the last--when she dropped--

Lee: She told police--well, she originally said--I think she said the 9th, but she was wrong on the date--we already talked about that--because my mom had her date wrong it was really the 16th, but--of, of June. But she told the police that she gave Caylee to Zenaida at the bottom of the steps of her apartment at the Sawgrass Apartment.

Q: Why, why do you call it her apartment?

Lee: Zenaida's apartment.

Q: Okay. She told you that Zenaida lived--and she--

Lee: She told the police--this was the story to the police, which she's later said that--I mean, she's gone on record saying that, yeah, I lied to you about that.

Q: Yeah, yeah.

Lee: So--

Q: But the initial story was Zenaida lived at Sawgrass.

Lee: Right.

Q: She took Caylee there--

Lee: Yes.

Q: --dropped her pff. And where, where was she going that day? Why did she drop her off?

Lee: She claimed work but--

~skipped to page 93~

Q: Now, let me-- let me--all right. She tells the police she goes to Sawgrass. Then she gets with you after she gets out of jail and she says, look, here's what--here's what really happened.

Lee: Yeah.

Q: What really happened was I went to Blanchard Park. Yes?

Lee: Yes.

Q: I went to Blanchard Park. I met Zenaida Gonzalez there.

Lee: Yes.

Q: She was there with her sister--

Lee: Yes.

Q: and her two children?

Lee: yes.

Q: And I dropped her off--I dropped Caylee off and everything was fine?

Lee: No

Q: No?

Lee: When she--when she came to Blanchard and saw--and saw them--

Q: Have you given this statement to the police, what you're telling me now?

Lee: I don't know.

Q: Okay. Go ahead.

Lee: I don't know. I don't think so.

Q: Okay. It;s the--well, the truth is the truth.

Lee: Either way.

Q: The truth is the truth.

Lee: Right, exactly. Casey said that she was--that she sat down on a bench with Zenaida kindof watching the kids play and whatnot. Zenaida and Casey--like Zenaida and Casey were kind of in a conversation at one point. And she remembers Zenaida grabbing Casey's arm, like forcefully, almost to kind of--like kind of hold her down in a way. And that's when she told her, you know, I'm going to take Caylee from you. You know, I will give her back to you. You can--I will give her back to you but, you know, you need to--you know, you need to follow my instructions. And that's where she made her--you know, her threat that, you know, if you go to the police, I will--you know,I will hurt, you know, your parents, I'll hurt your brother, I'll hurt, you know Caylee. I'll--you know, I'll do whatever. Don't--you know, don't do that. And it was at that point when--you know, and Casey saw whomever the sister, whatever her name was, with the kids walking over--you know, briskly walking over to where their vehicle was parked to leave. And then from that point, then you know, Zenaida left also, but--

Q: Okay. And did Casey tell you why Zenaida was taking her and--

Lee: Well, she just said to, to teach her a lesson.

Q: What lesson?

Lee: I don't know what that lesson is. I don't know. I don't think she--if that was ever relayed to my sister, she never relayed that to me.

Q: Did she tell you then why she told the police a different story than the truth she was now telling you?

Lee: She thought that if she would tell the police something else, that she was still following the, the--what she was told not to do from Zenaida from this whole Timer55 thing about not, not telling the police. That, that you're going to get Caylee back. If you listen to my instructions, no one's going to get hurt. You'll get her back. So she's still, you know--

Q: So the--so the reason she lied to the policce, your understanding, because she feared for Caylee's life, yes?

Lee: Yes.

Q: You life?

Lee: Yes.

Q: Her life?

Lee: Yes.

Q: Your mom and dad's life?

Lee: Yes.

Another account of story number three.

Rob Dick Interview Part 1

Talking about being in the car with Casey and her asking him about finding Zenaida.

@7:14

Rob: That's when she started with the Blanchard Park story about the change which I had already heard from Leonard (Padilla) and Cindy, you know that changed to, she went to Blanchard Park, went to uh meet Zenaida, Samantha, Samantha's two kids, Caylee's playing with the kids, she's talking to Zenaida and then all of a sudden she see's Caylee and the kids all get into Samantha's car and she said well wait a minute hey what's going on. Caylee, why's Caylee leaving? And uh Zenaida says because we're taking her, holds her back and you're going to say this for the next 30 days. Well, say what? Well she gave me a piece of paper of all these things I'm supposed to say. Well where is that? Oh, I don't have it. Ok, well tell me more about the incident, more about Zenaida. Well, you know is she married? No. She have any kids? No. Well Samantha. Well, I don't know Samantha's last name, I don't think it's the same as Zenaida's. I mean just, she's feeding into this new story that I mean I personally feel is not true, you know. I mean obviously I don't think these people exist. I believe that she's taking pieces of things and putting it together to form this lie. But that's my own thing.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptXlIUJTKJc[/ame]
Thanks again to TheWorldAccording for doing the fantastic job of finding the exact interview and spot for me!

She goes into such great detail in these lies. Thank you for typing it all out for us, reading it off the page, even all this time later it is just shocking the long stories she comes up with!!! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkHlY856jMo[/ame]

Thank you so much for this, Torismom003! The detail is amazing, and it's also amazing how she kept changing details to fit all of the lies. I guess she figured as long as the lie is good, I'll stick with it, wait, they aren't believing it, let me spruce it up with more lies and make it better.

Only it wasn't better, and it only made her look worse. She really believed she could blame what happened to Caylee on a nonexistent person at one time and that would work to get her out of trouble. Well, it may work with your family and friends, Casey, but obviously not with LE and SA, and oh yeah, THE REST OF US.

This is apparently the first time she couldn't come up with a story to get herself out of trouble. Bad for her, good for justice for Caylee!

Thanks so much for putting these together in one thread, Torismom!

Although I knew all of these stories, it is simply flabbergasting to read them one after the other. All these differing stories and their mind-boggling embellishments are going to be nearly impossible for the defense to overcome. They can try all they want to to distant themselves from Zanny-the-imaginanny, but Casey has left them stuck with no choice. She won't have to take the stand to be impeached by the SA....she impeached herself with all of these statements. Just hearing all these versions, the jury will know without a doubt that she LIED. They are going to quickly realize that there never was a nanny. And it will come out early on that there never was a job, so why would she need a nanny? So, if there never was a nanny, what would motivate her to lie and not report Caylee missing for 31 days?

yeah...

I really cannot even begin to imagine how the defense plans on dealing with all this....

Beach , this reminds me of Brad telling Geraldo, speaking of Casey, "Certainly, she cannot testify!"

I'll say. If she doesn't take the stand to explain why the ever changing story, and the jury only hears these things, she is toast, Cindy will never lie her way to put Humpty Dumpty back together. The jury is going to despise this girl, imo.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqae4mXHlAY[/ame]
Mr. Hornsby says if Casey would swear to her allegations about pop and Lee, an investigation would be opened. Is this what Jose wanted the ex parte meeting with the judge about a while back? I don't think so. If no investigation has been started or even requested, does that mean even Jose doesn't believe it? Have any of the reporters ever asked him that, is he going to ask for a case to be opened against them? If anyone has his answer to that on tape can you post if for me, please? TIA

First, I totally agree with Brad, "Certainly, she cannot testify!" So, either way, she is toast, imo. The ONLY thing I think the defense CAN do is try to downplay as much as possible all of these versions. Almost like a, "shhhhh, I didn't hear that....moving on now...." :innocent: It won't get past the jury, but the defense is not going to do anything to encourage anymore testimony....they'll just attempt to steer the line of questioning on to something else as quickly as possible, imo.

All I know for sure in re. the sexual allegations is that BC released a statement saying that both George and Lee denied the allegations and had no idea why Casey would say that. I recall that GA was asked directly in some interview and refuted it and I believe he or CA admitted it was hurtful, too. I don't think there will be any investigation. Casey's lied so much, what makes this allegation any more credible?

However, I don't know much about that pricey mitigation specialist that visits her quite often and has become her new BFF, according to the defense argument during the JAC hearing. I would think for the defense to be able to argue that she had been abused as a mitigating factor during the sentencing phase, there would have to be some proof....not just going on what Casey alleges in her jailhouse letters. So, for ONCE, it appears that both Lee and George have drawn the line at where they will fall on their swords for Casey. Finally.

Even if the examples that I posted in this thread somehow do not make their way into the trial it is going to be very hard for the defense to explain away Zenaida completely. We have so much testimony from witnesses that have heard the Zanny stories, Zanny babysitting Caylee during those 31 days, that at least one version of the story will have to come up. We even have Cindy on the 911 calls saying that the babysitter took Caylee. Though it will be a difficult challenge for the defense, personally I am glad that she has lied so many times concerning the nanny. It will only help the jury see that Casey truly lies for her own benefit.

MOO

ETA: Thank you all for the comments! My first time starting a thread but it is one that has been bothering me for some time. I have always had a problem with the Anthony clan believing Casey about the nanny stories when they are always changing.

BBM..I am currently reading "Without Conscience" about psychopaths, and this is what I was just reading last night...they lie like they breath. And when they are caught in a lie they just change the story without missing a beat and go on. The characteristics in the book fit KC to a T.

PS I love the part in her letter where she says she was getting together money she had saved. LOL

Special thanks to AZLawyer who's post jogged my memory about where to find this story!

Thank you for transcribing it all , in black and white it is even more outlandish, here watch Lee's demeanor it is like yada yada yada, weird [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3F4CiKsLnk[/ame]

Zenaida was taking Caylee from Casey to "Teach her a lesson". That is not to prepare for a move as Casey said in her letters, it is a punishment. WTH?

Fascinating thread and terrific posts everybody! :thumb:

It's truly bizarre to see all of these blatent lies and works of fiction re: ZG.

I wonder what it's like to represent the world's most indefensible client???!!
Scarier yet....can you imagine even supporting and endorsing such outright lies??!!:eek:

It boggles the mind how a handful of delusional folks still cling to the ridiculous notion of a "real" Zanny the nanny (in addition to the Anthonys). I'm only speculating here, but I imagine that such "Zanny believers" would have no qualms about inventing their own fictitious identity, job and location (being deceptive about their true motivation regarding this case). I imagine that one of their main goals involves throwing out various anti-LE and anti-prosecution theories to "test the waters", so to speak.....including the ever-popular "Zanny went underground" OR "They are still looking for Zanny!". LOLOL! Thank Goodness the vast majority of WS members believe in Justice for the Victim above ALL ELSE..........that tiny Victim being Caylee and ONLY CAYLEE. Thank goodness wild theories are debunked here. I think the Anthony clan and their supporters will be studied in Abnormal Psych classes for decades to come........

JMO!!!

:Justice: Justice for Caylee!

Torri's Mom, I just noticed reading your transcript something I had missed, then I listened to it and sure enough Lee does say that Casey has "Gone on record, saying, yeah I lied to you about that." [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3F4CiKsLnk[/ame]

So Lee is saying that Casey later told the police the Blanchard Story? He may have believed that she did, but do we have that at all, or do we just have pop telling them. Casey never even went on record and corrected the date for the police did she?

When someone says went on record , I am inferring they mean telling authorities on the record, under oath. I do not draw from going on record, telling the family, do you?
Thanks again for typing it all out. I know it is very annoying trying to listen to the Anthonys when they give sworn statements, especially with all the inappropriate laughter. In his defense, I do think that Lee far more than mom and pop tried to be forthcoming. He may have been horribly, horribly lied to and confused, but it was not the out and out bold faced NEW lies that mom and pop told. I am holding out hope for Lee at the trial to step up for Caylee. One of my best girlfriends laughs , a lot when she gets nervous. People have odd quirks. I cannot explain growing up Anthony how one would learn to emote.

In Anthononics...who knows what 'going on record' means.

TWA, when I got to that part of the transcript, "gone on record, saying, yea I lied to you" I did a double take myself and scratched my head for a bit. I have looked everywhere that I can think of for Casey's interviews to see if she told LE the Blanchard Park story. As far as I know, Casey has not said that to any LE. Casey did admit to telling LE the night of the 16th and the 17th lies about Universal and other things but she has never admitted that the Sawgrass story about Zanny was a lie. Now, has she told her parents this story? Of course. She also told Rob D and Leonard's other people this story. But as far as I know she has not gone on record about it.

I can't find any interview where Casey has admitted she had the wrong date either. Although we do have Lee, George and I believe Cindy stating in interviews that the wrong date was originally given.

One of the biggest WTH moment for me was while reading Lee's transcript for the civil deposition when he goes into the whole Timer55 explaination. I didn't add it to the rest of Lee's in this thread as Lee's was so long already but it is as unbelievable as everything else. It is also something that I think the defense may try and use and it "explains" Casey's behavior for those 31 days. Zenaida changed Casey's Facebook password and other passwords to Timer55 so that Zany could tell Casey what to do during those days. Such as go to this store, go to this park, go to this club.......Lee thought it was so someone could watch Casey and make sure she didn't go to the police. According to them Casey was getting her instructions that way. Good thing for Zany that the laptop went to the blue screen of death before the cops found out!!

I don't believe KC ever directly told LE the Blanchard park story. Supposedly it was told in the presence of LP's staff, which is how it got out to the media. KC had stopped talking to LE at all long before that evolution in the story occured.
