It has been four years of hell for Jennifer Kesse's family. Kesse has been missing since January 24, 2006. Every day that Jennifer's father, Drew, looks at a website dedicated to his daughter, he hopes a new tip will come.

Among emails and blog posts from well-wishers, he says that threatening email has appeared as well. It started popping up three years ago, he says.

On Friday, a man believed to be behind the threats was arrested. Tyler Green, 28, of Clermont, was charged with cyber stalking and writing threats to kill or do bodily harm.

In the arrest affidavit, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said that on February 14, Green did "unlawfully write threats to kill and cyber stalk."

Nobody seems to know why the Kesse Family case was the target. "I never saw him, met him," said Drew. Green is in the Lake County Jail without bond.

Jennifer Kesse Case: So what does it take to get an injunction, anyway?
March, 17 2010 1:17 PM

A cyberstalker has been harassing the family of missing Orlando woman Jennifer Kesse since Aug. 2007. Just last week, a Lake County man was arrested in the case.

You’d figure that it’s pretty straightforward to make an arrest in a case like this. Cyberstalkers can be fairly easy to find. Just subpoena the Internet service provider and work from there. That’s what the Florida Department of Law Enforcement did in their investigation. So why did it take so long to get an arrest?

Someone needs to explain to me why dozens of pages of harassing Internet messages isn’t enough to get an injunction.

Tyler J. Green, 28, of Clermont is out on bond on a second-degree felony count of written threats to kill or do bodily injury and one count of first-degree misdemeanor stalking in the case.

In 2007, Green dug up personal information on two officers in the Internal Affairs section, threatened them and made harassing phone calls to them for seven months, according to an Orlando police report. Charges were dropped.

Jennifer Kesse's father Drew Kesse is worried that it's only a matter of time before Green acts on his threats. "All the writing's on the wall that this person is going to hurt someone," Kesse said.

Green did not respond to a request for comment.

Father Of Arrestee Says Son Is Schizophrenic

Tyler Green, 28, is charged with written threats to kill or do bodily injury and cyberstalking and harassing. He had been posting the messages since last year, deputies said.

Jennifer Kesse’s father, Drew Kesse, asked the man to stop in February and even blocked his address from the Web site, but when Green refused to stop and started posting threats to Kesse’s father, an arrest warrant was issued, deputies said. "For some reason, you have an individual who has chosen to go after us via telephone at our home and also on Jennifer's Web site," said Drew Kesse.

Authorities interviewed Green’s father, Larry Green, on March 2. According to the arrest affidavit, Larry Green said his son suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder that manifested into paranoia and schizophrenia after the death of his maternal and paternal grandmothers. Larry Green said he was aware that his son had episodes, but did not realize they were creating problems for others.

Deputies: Sex Trafficking Victim Beaten, Burned

Local Victims Recount Experiences With Sex Trafficking

POSTED: 11:22 pm EST March 1, 2011
UPDATED: 12:25 am EST March 2, 2011

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Detectives Tuesday night investigated reports of a crime ring that lured women to Orange County, where they were tortured and forced to become prostitutes.
One woman said she was tied to what looked like a seat from a car inside a condo at Millennium Palms on Texas Avenue and then beaten and burned by a man she said forced her into prostitution. She told investigators that that was her punishment for trying to escape.
Advocate Tomas Lares said he believes investigators have exposed yet another human sex trafficking ring.
"It's horrible to see what these victims go through and hear about another one," said Lares, of the Florida Coalition Against Human Sex Trafficking.
A victim in Orange County said she was forced into prostitution and not allowed to leave. She told investigators that when she tried to escape, her pimp, Joey Simpson, tied her up. Then, she said, Simpson and another alleged prostitute, Amanda Fike, punched her and slapped her inside Fike's Millennium Palms condo.
The woman said another man held her down while Simpson burned her with a metal mallet and threatened to shoot and kill her.
"It's typical," Lares said. "They want to intimidate them, manipulate them and control them."
Another victim told investigators that she also tried to escape from the sex ring. She said a woman forced her into a car and told her, "It doesn't work that way here. Girls don't get out like that."
"For the traffickers, that's their merchandise," Lares said. "They're not going to let them go easily."
The woman said she was able to jump from the moving car and call 911 for help.
Both victims said the sex traffickers would drum up business by posting sexy photos of females on a website.
Neighbors said they're shocked that sex trafficking and torture could have been going on just next door. One neighbor said he's going to be moving his family.
"When you get something this big, it's life-changing," he said. "You don't feel safe anymore."
Investigators said at least two more people could be charged, including a woman who recruited the prostitutes online by targeting the weak-minded and a man who allegedly held down the victim while she was beaten and burned.

Even though he lives 1,000 miles away from Cleveland, Drew Kesse said the discovery of three women who disappeared in the Ohio city a decade ago gives him "incredible hope" that he too will one day find his daughter.

Seven years ago, Jennifer Kesse disappeared from her condo near the Mall at Millenia.
A few days after the 24-year-old vanished, police found her car about a mile away, and Orlando detectives have said they think Kesse was abducted.

"There was a victory yesterday for all missing people in this world," Drew Kesse told the Orlando Sentinel on Tuesday. "It showed us they're right under our noses."

The news out of Ohio Wednesday renewed hope for parents, like Drew Kesse, whose 24-year-old daughter Jennifer disappeared without a trace outside her Orlando home on Jan. 23, 2006.

“My hope is off the charts today,” Drew Kesse told FoxNews.com. “We didn’t bring home one yesterday. We brought home three.”

Jennifer Kesse, who lived alone, was reported missing by her parents the next day when she failed to show up for her job as a manager at Central Florida Investments.

Kesse’s car – a black Chevy Malibu – was found by authorities three days later, approximately one mile from her condominium. The Orlando Police Department had hoped for a break in the case when it released security footage of a person seen parking Kesse’s vehicle near a pool at an apartment complex and walking away. But the suspect – who appears to be between 5 feet, 3 inches and 5 feet, 5 inches tall – has never been identified.

“Hopefully, police departments across the country this morning are going to look a lot closer at their own cases,” Kesse said. “It also shows us how much the public truly is the answer for us.”

The parents of an Orlando woman missing since 2006 says the missing women found alive in Cleveland, Ohio has given them hope that their daughter is still alive. Jennifer Kesse's father, Drew Kesse, told Ashley Glass Saturday morning that it has "absolutely increased hope" that she is still alive. The missing women found in Ohio "bent, but did not break," said Drew Kesse. "And I know Jennifer could do that too," he said.

Jennifer Kesse's family wants police file on her disappearance — but even reviewing it could take years, judge says

For a moment Thursday morning, Drew and Joyce Kesse were within feet of their missing daughter's entire case file — a hard drive with about 14,600 scanned pages and hours of video, documenting every step police have taken to find Jennifer Kesse since she disappeared in 2006.

Then Circuit Judge Lisa Munyon passed the drive back to the city of Orlando’s attorneys, saying it could take her years to review the massive file. Munyon said Thursday she wanted lawyers to take care of a procedural step first.

The Kesse family filed a lawsuit for case records in December so they can conduct their own investigation.

Family of Jennifer Kesse to receiving unredacted case files from police

It’s taken two years and thousands of dollars, but Drew and Joyce Kesse believe they’ve taken a big step into finding their daughter, Jennifer, who went missing in Orlando in 2006.

"I mean, we've tried everything we could possibly think of to try and find Jenn through any means, and the only thing we have left is the real true files that officials were dealing with," Drew said.

The family had to sue to get the case file from the Orlando Police Department. It's a massive file, containing over 14,000 pages of investigative notes and hours of video footage. They plan to hand over the documents to their private investigator to go over with a fresh set of eyes and fine-tooth comb.
