Morning Websleuths! Happy verdict day (I hope)!

For anyone trying to kill time until the jury reconvenes, the judge in the CA case will be on the Today Show to talk about that trial today.

Woo Hoo!!
I got to the first row!!
Brought this over from last thread:

So many of the reenactments on HLN have had Travis on his back when she slashed his throat. I don't believe that is the way it happened. I believe he was on his knees crawling away and she pulled his hair up and slashed him under the throat, under the chin as you said. For the cut to be so deep as to nearly decapitate him the weight of his own head, and gravity, made that possible.

Had he been on his back the cut wouldn't be as deep.

Think about cutting a piece of rope. We make a loop and cut from the bottom upwards. To cut from the top of the rope we would have to lay it down on something and SAW away at it.

She had one sharp a$$ knife, too. Like a knife used by a butcher or a CHEF, where they have them professionally sharpened. Most home use knives are not that sharp, especially when they are washed in a dishwasher as they obviously did at Travis' home. So, what I'm saying is…she brought the knife. A knife she stole from one of the restaurants she worked at…more proof of PREDMEDITATION.

I am a chef at a cafe and I have my own knives...they are razor sharp and would cut through most anything (including skin and tendons) like butter.
I would bet the knife is a professional kitchen knife...
MOO

Thanks for posting Travis first thing. It's been a long night here. I am trying to keep Chris Hughes uplifting words in my heart.

Thanks. I really don't like him but I would like to hear what he as to say. I bet he is hypocritical. I wonder if he will discuss sequestration and allowing lies to be spewed in court.

There were two judges in the Anthony case. Judge Perry and Judge (the truth and Ms. Anthony are strangers) Strickland. I believe Strickland may be retired.

Morning Everyone

Hoping the day is today, although I want the jury to take at long as they need to get the verdict right. Like one poster put it I am cautiously optimistic.

Wild About Trial ‏@WildAboutTrial 7h

hWild has had a long day, heading to the cave to hang upside down. I will see you guys from the courthouse tomorrow at 9am PDT. #JodiArias

I am wondering about the bolded part in this tweet that was posted about 7 hours ago.
Will WATS be in the courthouse waiting for the verdict or actually streaming. Anyone know?

Heard on middle of the night news that Judge Perry was going to speak out for the first time.

Morning, hope today ends up being a very memorable one for Ms. Arias, in that she will learn her fate and I believe that will be a guilty 1st Degree. I have been watching this trial with all of you for months, and have many times during it thought to myself that once the jury got the case and started deliberation we would see the quickest verdict in history, although apparently it isn't because someone mentioned one of Juan's jurys deciding a verdict in 15 minutes, iirc. I feel strongly that within an hour of deliberation this morning we will have a verdict. I believe the prosecution absolutely proved their case 100% and I personally have no doubt that what Juan laid out is what happened. Here's hoping for quick verdict, no delays.

I wasn't impressed wirh Judge Perry. He allowed way to much monkey business in his court!! I did like Judge Strickland and often wonder if the outcome would have been different if he had stayed on

I think so too. I recall in one of the Flores interviews she talked about storing some of DBs kitchen stuff. Maybe this was in reference to why she had two knives stowed in her rental car when they arrested her.

I liked Strickland, I didn't like Perry. He was more concerned with the jury and all of their little surprises and deserts then he was about what was going on in his courtroom. A lot of what he said publicly to the jury could have been said in the jury room. I must say, he was an entertaining television personality, yuck.

Good morning!

I've been mostly in lurk mode, but have been closely following along with all of you. I was anxious over the weekend, but woke up today with a sense of calm. I truly believe there will be justice for Travis and his family. When the liquor store opens, I'm going to go and buy a bottle of wine to crack open and celebrate when the verdict of guilty of first degree murder is read! Sweet justice is coming!

Judge Perry, now on NBC Today show! I like, trust and respect him. He has an uncanny understanding of the law, quoted cases, many, many, many of them from memory, did his rulings in open court, as it should be. His record speaks for itself. His career spans far and wide from the one case of Casey Anthony.

So great to hear he felt the state did prove her guilty of murder one!
From the Orlando Sentinel

" When Perry read the jury's verdict, he said he was surprised, shocked and in disbelief.

Perry said Anthony portrayed the wrongfully accused mother in front of the jury but once they were gone, she "transformed" in a "very commanding" and controlled defendant, who at times scolded her own attorneys."
