The Investigator Charlie Bezzina names his worst 10 criminals in his Black List

April 27, 2012

1. PAUL DENYER - The Frankston Serial Killer

DENYER was one of our first serial killers.

He was someone who just wanted to kill.

He picked out and killed three defenseless, unassociated women .

His victims were stalked, strangled and stabbed. He just hated women.

What he did struck fear into the Frankston area, and, really the whole community. He had this sheer urge to kill

Serial killer Paul Denyer defies prison order to stop dressing as woman

April 09, 2013

SADISTIC serial killer Paul Denyer is blatantly flouting prison rules by wearing women's underwear and make-up behind bars

Denyer is one of the state's most evil prisoners.

He was originally sentenced to life without parole for his heinous crimes in 1993. He killed Elizabeth Stevens, 18, Debbie Fream, who was 22 and the mother of a 12-day-old baby, and Natalie Russell, 17.

A non-parole period of 30 years was later set, making him eligible for release in 2023, when he will be 51.

After his arrest Denyer told homicide squad detectives that since he was 14 years old he had "always wanted to kill".

Thank you again, marly.

I can't believe we didn't already have a thread on Denyer. Glad we have one now. What an utter psycho. I've walked Nat's Track, thinking about the lives he took..

And thinking, he should have been locked up in one secure facility or another, long before he became a killer.

There's a FB page, True Story of Paul Denyer, run by his SIL who was almost one of his victims. Apparently she isn't too happy with the book The Frankston Murders by Vikki Petraitis (which has had some scathing reviews from family members of the victims, too), and has decided to write her own. There's a lot of back-and-forth between SIL and victim's family members, some of whom agree with what she is doing, and some who don't.

Link to Vikki's book (see comments..): http://books.google.com.au/books/about/The_Frankston_Murders.html?id=93d4AAAACAAJ

Denyer tracked down his brother and SIL in England in 2004 and sent them a letter. They were utterly horrified:

Apparently, the brother and SIL are the only Denyer family members who don't support him, and want him locked up forever.

Charlie Bezzina is awesome. Here's an article he wrote on his concerns, re Denyer being able to get mail out and so on..

"It has been almost 30 years since his sister was murdered in cold blood by the Frankston serial killer - and now Troy Fream is finally ready to tell his side of the story.

Paul Denyer, 50, was sentenced to life in prison without parole, but was later appealed and reduced to a non-parole period of 30 years, meaning he is eligible for release in 2023.

In 1993, Denyer murdered Natalie Russell, Elizabeth Stevens and Deborah Fream, also known as Debbie, in the Frankston area."
