She said Casey may be trying to send clues as to her whereabouts, but isn't able to tell the whole story to investigators.

"I truly believe Casey knows who has Caylee but it's code name. That's why they can't find that person just yet.”

Code? So, LE needs a secret decorder ring? I am not trying to be snarky, but this sounds ridiculous.

Now this is getting irritating, if you will forgive me. Keeping in mind, of course, that on the Brooke Bennett case there is a great deal of discussion regarding the emails and conversations between the principals being in code.

Thing is, If I google Nanny I get Fran Drescher.

If I google beach, I get, you guessed it, beaches.

If I google pathological liar...oops now I am going too far, lol.

I think that GMA may be grasping at straws, and at this point it is hard not to discount her version of events as the information is being released by her. In her defense, Casey's attorney might be feeding her this information, or even Casey herself.

At least we are getting back to the bones of the situation-Casey holds the key to her daughter's whereabouts.

Oh I definately believe gma is grasping at straws. She is doing some wishful thinking right now. I don't know if she even believes herself at this moment but the alternative is too much for her to even consider at the moment I guess...

Ha ha, my DH told me to calm down when I started yelling.

Initially, I had my own set of reason why GM was acting like she was. But as the days go by, more info is learned, and she talks more on TV, I have none.

I'm reminded of the movie 'The Client' where Tommy Lee Jones says 'Speak Child, now! Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord! So sayeth the Psalms!

She needs to wake up, stop making excuses for her Daughter, KISS, and realize that her Casey knows where Caylee is. She needs to get her to talk. Plain and simple. No wild conspiracies, no codes, no babysitter, Casey IS IT.

They should not be acting this way. They are more prepared for than most people would be given their professions. She's a former nurse and he's a former Sheriff's deputy.

I'm just beginning to read today's thread, am on page 1, and just when you think this case can't get any more "out there", it does. Cindy Anthony needs to step away from this, as difficult as it might be, and let LE do their job.

Could this be a drugs or gambling situation where Caylee was taken until money was paid back? Casey is not giving out the real information on the people because she believes they would hurt Caylee? The call from Caylee was a warning? Hence the stolen money etc.?

I think the most likely scenario is that Casey accidentally killed her and had a psychotic break afterward but I'll throw in the above as another possibility.

In terms of the father I wonder if Casey told her parents it was a married man who died - and showed them an obituary. They may or may not have believed it but wouldn't want to give a name to the public and disrupt that families life.

I think people are being way too hard on the grandmother - there's not enough evidence to say she was "too controlling" - sounds to me like she was the responsible person trying to keep everything together and make sure Caylee was taken care of while the mother appeared to be partying.
She clearly let Casey leave with Caylee - gave her a car and money - and was letting her make her own decisions even if she didn't approve.

Some people are saying both that the grandmother was 'too controlling" and that she isn't doing enough to control/push her daughter into telling what happened. You can't have it both ways. I am sure that the attorney for her daughter is telling Cindy not to talk about past issues or say anything now that could hurt Casey in a future trial.

Personally I don't get the impression that Cindy is hiding anything from the key people (police) and is trying to stay on message about getting Caylees picture out there in case there is an abducter.

Wonder why they aren't using their myspace accounts anymore???? Maybe they are sick of getting "hate mail" so to speak. I am sure people are sending it to them and telling them to make their daughter talk and say where Caylee is!
