I don't know if these women are possible matches since none of them lived in or had any ties to the southwest (California, Arizona, New Mexico) or Wyoming.
Rochelle Ihm could be a match because she lived in the southwest, but I'm not sure if she left on her own accord. But that's only speculation.
Well, unless the coroner is waaaay off on their measurements, it couldn't be Rochelle, she's a good 3 or 4 inches shorter than the doe.
This case has been out there a very long time and perhaps the reason the doe hasn't been identified is because no one is looking for someone who went missing further away and ended up in Elko.
The one from Florida, Huggy, even though she's listed as an inch taller, I listed her because the station wagon originally seen was listed as possibly having FL plates.
I did quite a bit of searching based on the carbon age the new article gives, 27, height and blonde/light brown hair with
brown eyes. And from those listed as missing, there's not a lot of matches out there that are 5'7", as the doe is listed on one site and 5'8" on another, that's pretty darn tall for a woman.
Who knows where these gals ended up once they went missing? They could have been forced into prostitution or something else sinister. I came up with about a half a dozen more, but some were actually taller (5'9 -5'10), but I figured the coroner couldn't be that far off. I surely don't see them being 3 or 4 inches off.
There is also a Melody Wolf,
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/w/wolf_melody.html , missing from Arizona but there is not much description of her, nor height that I can find for some reason. Her picture looks like she has light brown/blonde hair and brown eyes.
There is also a Michelle Quintana,
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/q/quintana_michelle.html, missing from New Mexico, although her age would be a little older than the 27 YOA that the carbon dating is now providing, she was born in 63, and she was allegedly involved in drugs/money laundering. Unfortunately, the only picture of her that I can find is black and white, but she looks like she had blond hair and dark eyes, and again, it doesn't list height.
There is also Debra Lee Frost
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/f/frost_debra.html, missing from Utah, but she has scars on her chest and nose. However, the nose scar was probably not recognizable after the beating and the chest scar could have been obliterated by the gun shot wound, so I might have to consider her also. Then again, she's listed as only 5'6" and disappeared at 17, so I don't think she would have grown another inch or two.
I know nothing about he carbon dating and how accurate it is, but I do assume that a coroner knows how to use a measuring tape. LOL
I think weight would be fluctuating, since these young women all went missing a few years prior to the date of the doe discovery. Anyway, I don't think you can rule people out just because they went missing from somewhere else. None of us know the circumstances these missing women might have encountered. Possible doesn't necessarily mean probable. JMO
If anyone can find the heights and better descriptions of the one's I referred to above that would be great, so we can rule them in or out, based on height, hair color, eye color.
