Laura Haworth has not been seen for 16 years. Police think Canberra's Summernats community could crack the case

Canberrans and visitors to the annual Summernats car festival are being urged to think back to January 5, 2008 and whether they remember anything that might shed light on the whereabouts of missing woman Laura Haworth.

''The then-23-year-old left in her red Mazda 121 and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Her car was later found on 18 January parked at Kanangra Court in Reid.

Laura had two children, aged 2 and 3, when she vanished.

ACT Policing believes there are people in the region who have information about Laura and where she could be.

Investigators have urged anyone who has information about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance to come forward.

“Any piece of information, no matter how small, could be of importance to police,” a statement read.''
