Yesterday Sonoma County Sheriff Office announced an identification of Jane Doe found in Sonoma County near Hedelsburg near Pine Flat Road as Robin Hedrick. I am wondering if they will make an announcement about this John Doe as well.

According to the sheriff's office, Rupen was born in North Carolina in 1958 and studied political science at Columbia University in New York. Detectives said he became estranged from his family sometime in the early 1980s and traveled to California, where Rupen was rumored to have worked as a house painter.

Interesting. A Google search for his name earlier brought up a document about his political activities while he was at Columbia, but I wasn't sure if it was the same man.

Wow so interesting, from the DDP website, Jeffrey’s parents and a brother were wondering what happened to him and we’re waiting for him all these time, he is also mentioned as a loved nephew on his aunt’s obituary.
