More articles were probably written about Winifred in the Appeal Democrat (Yuba City) but I'm having issues accessing it. If anyone would like to take a crack at it here's the link via the Yuba County archives

Missing for over 60 years.

There are just too many open questions in this case. Why would she bring a one year old baby there and leave it and her car behind? Was the car taken and checked by a mechanic? How could she disappear between her husband's car and the bus station ticket window?

Most of the news stories are from 1962 shortly after Winifred Long went missing. Any more recent stories? What of husband Alvin Long and the two children?
