This may be a silly question, but do we know how she left the house? It's about a 3-hour drive from Montreal to Kingston so I doubt she was walking. If she was driving back in her own car, or a friend's, one usually finds a description of said vehicle to be included in the missing persons description. But I haven't been able to find mention of any vehicle involved.

Could she then have been taking an intercity bus or a train?
 
You would think the friends house she was living from would shed a little light on how Jocelyn was getting home. Who’s the friend? Jocelyn wrote one of her very close friends that things (whatever the heck things means) hadn’t been going well out west and was getting away from things. I’m not certain, but this friend may still have the letter. We are looking for more photos to share.
