Jessica Brown, 5'5", 230 lbs, brown eyes, red hair, age not given.

Didn't return home December 7, 2023. Believed to have taken a JTA bus downtown. Roommate reported her missing December 12. Roommate says JB has a daughter who lives with them, and she would never leave her daughter for that long. JB hasn't reported for work since then.

Roommate tried to talk to JB's boyfriend on Dec 12, and was told he was working at a cemetery that day. Jacksonville PD says the cemetery told them that they don't hire day laborers.

PD says a person with JB's name was released from a hospital, but they weren't able to determine if it was her or someone with the same name. Quote from article "Police checked with other hospitals and she had not been there; she has not recently been arrested or Baker Acted."

PD says she hasn't answered her phone, nor has her boyfriend answered his.

This sounds like too many other cases we've heard about recently.

How odd that we're just now hearing about this missing mother! Who has her child?

Nothing particularly helpful on social media either.

This one, as are so many others, is scary and may well not have a good outcome.
No knowing what it was, I found some info on the Baker Act:

What is the Baker Act?
The Florida Mental Health Act, commonly referred to as the Baker Act, focuses on crisis services for individuals with mental illness, much like an emergency department is for individuals experiencing a medical emergency.
