Great news in Mr. Frank’s case; he’s recently had at least one family member (granddaughter) actively searching for information about his disappearance and subsequent whereabouts.

I am looking for any information on my Grandfather, Frank Kay Conlon. He was born about March 1910 in Richmond County. The church that stored the birth certificates supposably burned and that information was lost. I do not know if any of this is true or not. His father was supposably a Hery Conlon and his mother was supposably Mary Caroline (Kay) Conlon. Any information on any of these names would be so helpful.

I am looking for the connection between my grandfather, Frank Kay Conlon, and the person he listed as next of kin in his military records, Charles W. Sweet. In 1942 Frank lived at R.D. # 3 in Geneva, OH. I do not know if Charles lived there as well. As far as I know we do not have any Sweets' in our family tree. So if anyone can help or make a connection, or even know where I can go, please either post a reply or email me directly. My Grandfather disappeared in 1964 way before I was born and I'd like to know where he came from or even if anyone out there knew him. Please help!

I am looking for any information on two people. The first one is my Grandfather, Frank Kay Conlon. He served during WWII at Camp Atterbury in Indiana. He also married my Grandmaother and divorced then remarried another woman, Ruth Swift? all in Indiana. He was part of the 1560th Service Unit, Corps of the Military police. I am attaching a picture of him. He was supposably born in 1910 in Richmond County, Virginia. He disapeared in August 1964 from Brown County, IN. Any iformation about him or the Unit he served for would be God-Sent.

The second person I am looking for information about is my Grandmother, Katheryn Elizabeth Richardson-Conlon-Gaither. She was born I believe in 1929 in Johnson County,IN. She died in 1993. I am attaching a picture of her as well, which is taken at a much later time frame, I believe in the 1980's. Any information would be great.

I am attaching a picture of my Grandfather's membership card. Anyone who can find or has information about this group would be great. I have looked and looked even at the State Library with no luck. Maybe if someone saw this card they may reconize it. I just want to know what the group is about and maybe find out if anyone who is still alive may have know my Grandfather, Frank Kay Conlon. Thank you!

I notice in the courierpress article referenced in #2 above that there is a suggested match to a skeleton found in 1972 in Bandon, Oregon. This seems unlikely as there was a set of dentures with the skeleton which are believed to have been made in Seattle in 1966 (2 years after Mr Conlon went missing). Whilst this does not preclude a match it would mean that Mr Conlon was alive for a long time after he was last seen (see John Doe Oregon 1972 ).

I am surprised there was not more attention to this case, both at the time and since. He had married only a year earlier, to Ruth Mae Swift (born Ruth Mae Moore - Swift was the name of her first husband), who was 25 years younger. The marriage certificate is on Ancestry and the identification is certain as it has his full signature and occupation at Allison's. He had also been married before (to a Katheryn Richardson) and I belive there were children. So there were plenty of people with an interest in him.

I was surprised at this case to. Whereas we ordinarily see more online sleuths actively researching, the opposite seems to be true here. Lots of effort by family members. It’s intriguing and if I weren’t so focused on another project, I’d be eager to investigate this further. FWIW, based on the little bit I saw on ancestry message boards, I think someone(s) could really help this family out!
