IN - Kevin Chandler for stabbing infant son, Speedway, 2007

Just a couple of weeks ago near where I live.... a woman drowned her small child in a motel bathtub, left his little body in a stroller in the motel room with her 2 other children, they are both alive. Just 2 days ago.... a woman stabbed her 2 year old multiple times and threw him down the stairs. People are talking a lot about the stress of the times and how that is effecting single mothers.

I know this doesn't apply to this waste of skin that stabbed his little one and threw him out the window.... just made me think of what's going on here.

I know that compared to a lot of them 20 years is decent. But this strikes me as being particularly heinous and I think he should have to serve the full 40. Hopefully, he will screw up in jail and it will extended the release date.

Does that mean that he can start trying to get paroled starting in 20 years?

Indiana does not list a Parole Eligibility Date. I believe the Projected Release Date is the date they actually plan to release him, as they give specific instructions as to which days they release, etc. That is my take on the record.

ETA: I just realized that I listed it as his Projected Release Date - It is his Earliest Possible Release Date. That could make a difference, but difficult to tell from the record.
