MD MD - Tracey Kirkpatrick, 17, Frederick, 15 March 1989

Cpl.Sevacek was right about the politics and agendas that interfered with this case but when he said he believes it be a high schooler she knew what high schooler has the ability to manipulate a murder investigation? Don jr. Was early 20's then, he was seen many times talking with Tracey for long periods when she worked, we all know that just means he liked her and probably asked her out maybe the day in question and she said no it was known she just got back together with her ex.Was that what the fight was about?

Its also known about Don sr. Being the head sheriff back then.Is that the politics mentioned. Its well known that Cpl.Horner was friends with Don sr.and all the DNA samples that where stored for years have come back so degraded they're unusable. The phone call from "Don" was traced back to a Walkersville shopping center 6 miles away from Fredrick. The search warrant served for the "Shaun" suspect led to finding nothing tying him to the crime even though he claimed 5th amendment to all questions asked.Doesnt exactly look good but maybe he just knows who really did it and he is the same age as Don jr.

Sheriff Barnes left Sheriff of Frederick County position in 1982, so was not the Sheriff at the time of Tracey's murder.
Just to clarify. He had been elected to two terms as sheriff starting in 1974.
Barnes also had worked for MD State Police and Maryland State Fire Marshal Office. He would have known a lot of folks.....

Bumping for Tracey. It has now been 34 years since Tracey was murdered.

Tracey's case was recently featured on "The Path Went Chilly" podcast.

I've been looking all over to see what the status of the dna was, and found it here. Not surprised it's not usable.

From what I understand, there's two main suspects on this case. The security guard and a high schooler that was obsessed with her. I believe he has since committed suicide.

Have learned of another possibility as well. There was another security guard who was living in his car behind the store, who had a very violent past.

A movie is coming out soon about the case.

What if this is a cop serial killer? Geraldine Butts was another Brunswick women murdered nearby who's murder has never been solved. She was murdered in 1983 - 6 years beforehand. Her body ended up in the Potomac after she got into a fight with her husband and was walking home from Boonsboro to Brunswick. Actually, the last person to see Geraldine Butts WAS a cop. He stopped her on her walk home somewhere between boonsboro and brunswick where she told the cop she did not want a ride home. As I said before, her body was found nearby in the potomac river with blunt force trauma. Both women from Brunswick, MD. Both women were either last seen or found by a cop or someone with a heavy cop connection.
