Almost certainly the right person. On Ancestry there are various records for Charles Pinger. These include the 1950 census showing him living at Ontonagon, about 20 miles from Bergland and having been born in Wisconsin in 1905. Then there is a draft card record for Charles Joseph Pinger showing birth in Cato, Wisconsin on 29 April 1905. This record also shows a Howard Brossman as his next of kin. Howard Brossman is the husband of his sister Lilian who is shown with him on the 1910 census at Manitowoc, Wisconsin (misrecorded as Penger). Unfortunately identifying him to these records does not get us anywhere nearer finding him!
