Prosecutors allege Clegg broke into a local sporting goods store on July 23. He reportedly stole two firearms.

On Aug. 29, deputies were called to a residence where the suspect was attempting to break in. He was in possession of one of the stolen firearms that was loaded.

Clegg didn’t speak during Tuesday’s hearing. He could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

I wonder what happened in the Utah case that enabled him to be back out on the streets just two years later. The articles above say that he could have faced life in prison IF convicted of those burglary and firearms charges.

Update: A judge has ordered Clegg to be held without bail on a probation violation stemming from the Utah charge. He also set bail for $20,000 for "other matters" in the case. No mention of the Concord homicides during the hearing.

That was what I was wondering. He fled to Portugal, missing a probation hearing in 2021. And bought a one-way ticket to Germany leaving tomorrow. That would also indicate that he has an active passport (which is not cheap, assuming he's a US citizen).

Logan Clegg, 26, was wanted by law enforcement officers in Utah when he was spotted by New Hampshire detectives on Williston Road in South Burlington around 10 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

I am always astounded when LE spot a wanted person/fugitive & realize it's the actual person, kwim? It's like they have superpower skills of facial recognition. (I always think of Eric Rudolph. Still blown away that LE recognized him after multiple years of him being on the run.)

True, I'm horrible with recognizing people. I wonder how they identified him as a suspect in the first place. I imagine it's DNA related.

So they lost their lives possibly due to a homeless transient? Think of all the good this couple did in the world and to have it end by some...... lowlife.

Has anyone found public records on this guy? Closest I can find is a 27 year old out of Virginia, while the only Utah match is a 20 year old. I wonder if he's Canadian?
