  • Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Brown hair, brown eyes. Woosley's nickname is Dan. His lower right leg from below the knee has been amputated.
Details of Disappearance
Woosley was last seen Reno, Nevada sometime in 1984 or 1985. He went to North Hollywood, California with a friend, riding a Yamaha off-road motorcycle. He has never been heard from again and was reported missing on August 25, 1985.

When Woosley's father died in 2011 and his stepmother died in 2019, Woosley was listed in both obituaries as having survived them. Few details are available in his case.

You'd think being an amputee would narrow it down when it comes to matching him to a UID; however, if skeletal remains they may not be complete or may assume it isn't complete because its missing that limb. No mention on if he wore a prosthetic leg and foot. You'd think he'd have some sort of thing to help him walk.

Also related to the amputated leg, his case file says he was last seen riding a Yamaha. I ride dirt bikes myself and him being an amputee might make it hard for him to ride. It's possible but he may need assistance kicking the bike over since that lever is on the right side. Also on the right side is the foot brake. Shifters are on the left which you use constantly while riding so he'd be fine with that one. Of course with a prosthetic he should be fine. I ride a Honda and am also familar with Kawasaki's but not Yamaha's.
 
I wonder how he got around with one leg? Wheelchair? Prosthetic? Would be useful to know.
