Julia Davis was on her way to her sister's wedding in South Carolina when a 16-year-old drunken driver crashed into her car and killed her.
Five of her six children saw or were involved in the accident, including a daughter who was critically injured and spent two years in a wheelchair.
Nearly 18 years later, the Philadelphia family's world was once again shattered, and by a bizarre coincidence: Tracy Davis, one of Julia's children who was with her that day, was killed in a car accident. Police say the driver of the other car was drunk.
Both women were 41 years old when they died. Today they are buried, one on top of the other, at Mount Peace Cemetery in Philadelphia.
