Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate the homicide of Richard Stewart Wimbish, whose body was found, wrapped in a sleeping bag, on Jan. 13, 1973, in Trout Creek, Slatington Borough, in northern Lehigh County.www.audacy.com
Wimbish was a driver for the Pennsylvania Trucking Company, which was then located at 48th Street and Parkside Avenue in Philadelphia. His route took him from Philly to Scranton to Wilkes-Barre and throughout northeastern Pennsylvania.
Richard was supposed to spend the New Year’s Eve holiday with a female friend in Pleasantville, NJ, but never showed up.
