:fence: In the Scott Peterson case, the announcement that a verdict had been reached came in during Vinnie & Kimberly's show (CTV).

Since Vinnie's show is on right now, here's hoping that trial history repeats itself!!

I think it's a good sign that they haven't asked a single question or sent a note to the judge. It tells me they're not at all confused by the evidence or needing clarification. I would even go as far as to say, they probably aren't trying to convince anyone of anything with things like transcripts.

It's probably a 10 hour therapy session for them.

for jury questions, per BK yesterday, they CALL her with any questions and she sets up a conference call with the attorneys. we won't know if there were questions because it's not being handled in open court. like far too much in this case, it's a secret.

If possible, please copy and paste the list. Don't quote because we lose content

Jodie's in the basement according to HLN. She gets to the basement around 7:00am...She has nothing, absolutely nothing, but legal paperwork and access to her attorneys. :floorlaugh:

I say...the closer she is to hell the better. Somehow waiting for a verdict doesn't seem so bad at this point...considering she is miserable.

#jodiarias jury report: 12:50 Jurors 2 & 9 return to jury room with soda in hand. Both appear pretty somber.
wow. And I get that; they are deciding to end someone's life.

Peeps! Please post songs, adorable cat pix, and other graphics over in the Sidebar thread... we really need this one as clear and quick-loading as possible. If any of you remember the CA verdict, when it comes in it will be a madhouse in here & we want there to be room for everyone!

For all the discussion about juries that have "failed" to deliver a "just" verdict in the eye of public opinion, I think it's important to remember there are plenty of juries who have put innocent people in prison, often in the face of flimsy to no evidence.

In those cases it seems to be the opposite of "must have video or it didn't happen." They convict based on what the prosecutor tells them, even if there's nothing to back it up.

So not all jury "mistakes" result in guilty people being freed.

Thanks for your post. A jury is a dice roll for both sides, and especially these days, I think. Our society has taken a bad turn the last 40ish years. From the move away from critical thinking, (or any thinking at all), to making an excuse or rationalization for many types of bad/criminal/uncivil behavior-that's my jaded take on things. I know that while I once wanted to be on a jury because I am fascinated by the law, I want nothing to do with it now. Like you, I'd go for a bench trial if I was wrongly accused of anything.

I hope this is a good jury who doesn't think CSI and Law and Order are real. I hope they didn't buy any part that unethical and ridiculous defense. I hope, being in the same room with her, that they saw JA for what she is (the opposite of a victim).

Praying for justice. :twocents::twocents:

Hey now, I'm 33 and I promise I think critically all the time. I think the issue is simply that we have a society where more and more people aren't taking responsibility for the actions and decisions.

Do the jurors have to buy/bring/pay for their own lunch??? If so, why is lunch not brought in for them and paid for? anybody?

the 2 times i was on jury duty [ in san diego ] we deliberated 4 days one time and 5 days the other time and we always had to provide our own lunches.

Is there any way to stay signed on WS?

I get up to stretch, get a drink, rub my callused mouse finger, come back and I'm signed off.

I had that problem once too. One of the awesome mods (Beach I think), advised me to empty my browser cache (and maybe cookies too?). It worked and I haven't had any problems ever since.

So we can now picture Jodi dressed in her prison stripes sitting in her holding cell at the courthouse in the basement with only her peanut butter. Wow! I put a lot of prepositional phrases in that one!!

I TOTALLY had that experience just now - I think I have PTSD from being banned before.

I was completely traumatized. I cannot go into a verdict without being able to comment. I would be a bit devastated.

When I'm tempted to type something which might get me busted, I go over and read the comments on JA's twitter acct. Those commenters are pretty brutal and they aren't fans of JA's. You should read what they had to say about her commissary disappointment.:floorlaugh:

She's in a cell by herself no one there but her waiting and waiting and waiting.

Wild About Trial@WildAboutTrial

Back at courthouse. Jurors had lunch here it seems. Fire truck just pulled up. Not sure why yet. #JodiArias

(HLN said a courtwatcher fell down the outside courthouse and needed medical assistance)

HLN reporting JA is being held in the basement. She gets two ounces of peanut butter for lunch. She isn't allowed anything other than trial documents and access to her lawyers while in the holding cell.

She can't do anything but sit, possibly do a few head-stands, while she waits for a verdict. No paper nor crayons allowed!

I'm wondering if they have reached a verdict. I'm so hopeful, that since they ordered in; and obviously took a break, and several escorted out....I'm just hopeful they are almost done. my stomach keeps doing summer saults. I hate that!
