Missing Native American Women

Original tweets August 3:

Carrie is among the estimated 5,000+ #NativeAmerican women who go missing in the U.S. each year, according to statistics from the @FBI. Please tune into @11AliveNews tonight at 11 to see my story on missing and murdered #indigenous women & to learn more about Carrie's case.

PLEASE SHARE: These are some recent pictures of 29-year-old Carrie Marie Jones. @CobbPoliceDept say she was supposed to meet a friend for dinner Feb. 13th in Marietta, GA but never showed up and hasn't been seen since then. Carrie has irregular scars on her arm.

People come to Oklahoma for many reasons.

Olivia Gray, however, believes one thing about why Oklahoma attracts certain kinds of people.
“Predators seek out Indian Country because they know they are way more likely to get away with beating us, raping us, kidnapping us, trafficking us and killing us because everybody else is just too preoccupied and arguing over jurisdiction ... instead of all working together,” Gray said.

Gray, president of Northeastern Oklahoma Indigenous Safety and Education, and other advocates are attempting to tackle Oklahoma's underreported crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous people.

The hunt to solve cases has grown more complicated and confusing due to a 2020 landmark Supreme Court ruling.

You're right, I should have said Non-Native.

The article is referring to one incident on one reservation in North Dakota. A complete opposite situation is going on in Oklahoma right now. A Muskogee-Creek man killed another Muskogee-Creek man on Muskogee-Creek land. He was arrested by the local police dept, was convicted, and is on death row. His lawyer has appealed this, saying he should have been arrested by tribal police and tried in Creek court or federal court. It's a confusing mess that has actually made its way to the Supreme Court.
So . ...how does that work ..Links are good, if ya got them...I wanna read these things.
Does the supreme court hold power over who has power over reservations?
It might be a silly question ..but if you think so ,petition to have the answer added to your childs ciriculum , cuz public school baby...aint for everyones baby.
