I am Julia's grandfather. I spent 20 yrs in USAF as a metrologist which is the science of precise measurement- not a weatherman. Retired from AF in 1988. Continued in my career as a metrologist until I retired in 2013. I have worked in a nuclear plant as a metrologist for almost 14 years then moved from Michigan to Florida. My last position here in Florida was the chief metrologist for a company, Ocean Optics Inc., that designs and builds miniature spectrometers and precision light sources. A spectrometer is an instrument that is used to analyze light. In my last position, I provided support for many NASA missions, medical research, Dept of Defense projects as well as various scientific research done by the US Gov't and in many colleges and universities. Some of the instruments I have calibrated are in space, on the Moon, on Mars, under the oceans and all over the world. Spectrometers are used in almost every science you can think of, really quite amazing instruments. I completely enjoyed my working career field but now I'm retired! I will not quit this case until we have Justice for Julia!
Ice Hockey, Baseball, Softball, Football. I do bowl and play golf too.
