I was just listening to the Generation Why podcast about Amy. In the podcast, they said it’s been all but proven the Jas is not Amy. Jas worked with a well-known *advertiser censored* movie maker. No names were given. They also said there are additional photos of Jas on the internet that show her dancing in a club. They said from these full body photos it’s even more clear that Jas is not Amy.

Does anyone know where these additional photos of Jas are?

I've listened to that podcast episode. The podcast hosts state that they got that ''information'' from an anonymous post on the internet... And then irresponsibly passed it off as an investigative fact. Another example of how quickly disinformation can disseminate in discussions regarding unsolved cases.

Ugh!! I hate this so much. This is why no one can trust any podcasts. I have a small hobbyist YouTube channel (not advertising it here), and I do a lot of digging into where "facts" about cases have actually come from and talk about it in my videos sometimes. The research takes forever, and is why my channel will never be profitable. I'm deeply skeptical of any podcast or channel that gets too many pieces out too fast. There's no way they're doing proper research.

Anyway, if there are more sources talking about Jas, I would love to look into them.

**UPDATE**, I googled "image enhancer" and look what happened. It took less than 2 minutes to get the same "new Amy" from the "Old Amy" photo.

So I can 100% say that this photo is NOT new. I can say that it's the same image from AAV someone just used a website like Upload Image to Sharpen & Upscale it - Cutout.Pro and it gave me the EXACT SAME RESOLUTION as the "New Amy" photo.

So nothing new on the photo.. I will say IMO it looks more like a 40-45 year old woman and not a 20something..

UPDATE 2: Here's the other Photo. It looks like New Tech/AI can do amazing upscaling. I don't believe it's Amy whatsoever.

is that what all the recent activity has been about? the 'enhanced' photos?
not seeing much of a difference in the 'enhanced' photos
so not her IMO
different eyebrows, different eyes, nose looks different but hard to tell with different angles

No, it's about this supposed "new information" that we still haven't heard about after a month.

Here is the photo comparison info from that same site if you're interested.

Thanks for reposting the "photo comparison info" Jezel. The shape of the jawline gives me chills. It's very distinctive. I find the photos haunting.

A few points about the photo comparison:
On Dr. Phil it says about the photo: "Seven years after her disappearance". Also, that "experts" have done comparisons! It also points out that when experts do comparison analysis, they look at aspects of the body that "dont change" much over they years.
(This "experts" comment is the kind of thing that drives me crazy about shows like Dr. Phil. Really? Which experts? How many?. Aargh...)

LadyL,
When you see differences in the eyebrows and eyes, can you explain? (I'm discounting the nose a bit, because noses seem to typically be so different at different angles.)

I think the eye shape is spot-on. However, the two differences that I see are:

A bit more space between the eye and the eyebrow in the "Jaz" photo, as well as the eyebrow shape itself. Regarding the eyebrow itself, I do think it's been "shaped" a bit different in the Jaz photo, to look a bit more arched. However, I also think this isn't necessarily structural, but could be attributed more to "shaping".

Regarding the larger space (to my eye) in the Jaz photo, could this also be a bit of shaping, in addition to the heavy makeup she's wearing?

Here is a photo which I think can explain the difference between the eyebrows:

I do think that in cases of trafficking, there would be efforts to change appearances some, and two big areas of focus would be on eyebrow shaping and hair style, since they are readily changeable.

5:00 mark on time stamp - the Bradleys discuss the forensic artist…

My (not perfect) transcription of that part of the video about the escort pics that look like Amy:

Narrator (N): ... the pictures were pulled from an adult website based in the Caribbean, and the young woman is being advertised as a female escort. After droves of false leads and dashed hopes, the Bradleys want to be one hundred percent sure it's really Amy.

Amy's Mom (M): "We got in touch w/a forensic detective in the police dept, and he took those pictures, and he took Amy's pictures, and he did overlays ..."

N: The forensic detective determined that facial structures, hairline, and multiple earpiercings make the girl in the photo a perfect match for Amy.

M: "He gave us the complete breakdown on it, and he said, 'I'll tell you that I would bet my career that this is Amy.'"

N: Investigators began tracing the IP address of the website to begin tracing the photos...

But that's where this video ends! So what happened after that? Personally, I can definitely believe that's Amy in the website pics. She's thinner, a lot of makeup, grew her hair out long and teased and hairsprayed it, but definitely looks like Amy to me. Something about the mouth especially.

But even if it was her, that was many years ago...

Thanks for putting the video up and for quoting some of it here, Sunspun. I agree about the frustration of some of these programs/interviews. They often leave us with more questions than before.

Also, I do believe Iva when she says that they wanted to be "100% sure". This wasn't something they were grasping at, trying to "make it fit" before coming to the conclusion, themselves, that the photo is Amy.

"Jaz" looks like Amy to me, too. Even just her overall build. That chin and jawline, though. Wow. They're about a perfect match, to my eye.

Sorry for the "power posting". I'll take a break soon!

I really wondered about the term "experts", plural, mentioned in the Dr. Phil piece. In the video above, Iva says that they "got in touch w/a forensic detective in the police dept, and he took those pictures, and he took Amy's pictures, and he did overlays ..."

The comparative analysis that we've been discussing, though, was done by Wesley Neville, "Certified Forensic Artist at International Association for Identification".

This leads me to believe that this is where the plural term "experts" comes in. There appear to be at least two different forensics folks who came to the conclusion that the photo is Amy. Interesting. I wonder if there are more?

thanks yeah I've seen the photo comparison and compared for myself and don't see think it's Amy
I didn't know about the supposed new information
don't know what to think of that

<modsnip - quoted post was removed>

My personal opinion is she was trafficked most likely for sex and used in drug trafficking as well. It's been a long time. I hope she is still alive and I hope her family get the answers they need one way or the other. What a horrible nightmare for them all.

IMO

Alright, y’all, I’ve got something it might be worthwhile to track down.

Awhile back I mentioned a podcast put out by Longwood University’s alumni affairs, and 2 episodes in 2018 were about Amy’s case and featured interviews with Brad and FBI agent Erin Sheridan (she was responsible for getting Amy’s poster back on the FBI’s site.)

Anyway, the dang thing has disappeared from the internet, based on my attempts at finding it again.

Here’s proof it existed, althought none of the sites that show it actually seem to have the audio (this screenshot was taken tonight, from the castbox app. Appears to be there, but downloading fails and it doesn’t play.)

Anybody got any ideas?

Given the timeline, I'm personally not sure how helpful it is to discuss whether Jas was Amy, but just to add one more thing, this thread has additional photos that might be helpful for anyone doing a comparison.

This link says the episode has been deleted or made private by the creator. I wonder if the fbi asked them to do so?

I suspect its’s not that - from what I can tell the entire first season (of which the episodes on Amy were part) isn’t available.

Thanks for taking a look! This is driving me crazy - it was available as recently as a year ago or so.
