Hunyadi has never been located, along with the vehicle he was driving (no description provided).

At the time of his disappearance, the MP had been involved in selling a piece of land near Lolo, Montana with other family members, but he has not contacted them since regarding the deal. Authorities say he has made no attempt to renew his drivers license, and his bank accounts have not been accessed.

He would now be in his 80's.

Circumstances of Disappearance Joseph Hunyadi had moved to Dayton from Lancaster, CA six months prior to his disappearance. On February 15, 1981, he packed up and left his home in Dayton and he and his vehicle haven't been seen since. Hunyadi, and family in Lancaster, were in the process of selling a piece of land in Lolo and had been planning to close the deal in mid-March. They had been talking over the phone regularly until mid-February.
