Avis de recherche et disparitions
Letzter Akt im Fall Edith Trittenbass - verschwundenes Thurgauer Mädchen soll als verschollen erklärt werden

On May 3, 1986, Edith Trittenbass set out from her parents' house in Gass-Wetzikon to go to school in Wolfikon. But the blonde girl never arrived there. Despite a large-scale search, it is still unclear what happened to her.

Edith Trittenbass was last seen by a neighbor looking out of the window. More than 100 police officers were called in to help with the search. They combed through everything, even a helicopter circled over the village. A reward of 15,000 francs was offered and a report was broadcast on the TV show "Aktenzeichen XY ungelöst." But the search was unsuccessful.

During the investigation, the name of the sex offender Werner Ferrari was also mentioned. He had strangled a ten-year-old boy in 1971 and was released in 1979. He was able to give a vague alibi for the time of Edith Trittenbass's disappearance, although he and his witness were not entirely sure whether they met on May 3 or 4. Nevertheless, Ferrari, who suffered from a personality disorder, committed four more murders and was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder by the Baden District Court in 1995.
