Details of Disappearance

Kimberly was last seen in Jacksonville, Florida on May 29, 1979. She was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and was visiting a relative in Jacksonville at the time of her disappearance. She has never been heard from again.

Kimberly's mother, who died in 2008, believed her daughter was abducted by the Outlaws motorcycle gang, which was active in Florida in the 1970s. Supposedly, Kimberly's uncle had stolen money from gang members and they kidnapped her to try to force her uncle to pay it back. This theory has never been verified and Kimberly's disappearance remains unsolved.

When you search on Kimberly Doss, you have to be sure you have the correct one - middle name is Rae (not Sue).

This is how I remember. Kimberly Rae went missing from Florida.

If her mother believed she was kidnapped, it's possible she could have ended up as a sex worker by force in California in 1982. If indeed that is what happen (I am theorizing) its possible she was confused with Kimberly Sue Doss who was allegedly sighted but now has an extremely confused case listing her missing in both 1980 from Houston and 1982 in Iowa, with an (un)confirmed sighting in California. That supposed sighting states she was 4" taller (???) and using the name Kathleen Gardner.

My research has actually produced 3 separate women who could be intertwine. I have no proof yet and am putting this out ONLY as a THEORY. Kimberly Sue Doss's family is adamant she was not the girl in California and they never confirmed it was. Kimberly Rae Doss's mother believes she was kidnapped by bikers which would be a more likely scenario to end up a sex worker in California. Kathleen Gardner was a runaway living on the street in CA in the early 80's who is actual still alive now. so what if these 3 women were intertwined by name/misidentification/police error and a simple news article in the Midwest that created a roadblock still in place all these years later???? .

I see that in some comments Amy Billig and her alleged kidnapping in Florida by the same gang the outlaws are mentioned... there is so much speculation that even Amy arrived in the United Kingdom... what is certain is that that damn gang full of Dirty degenerate mentally ill people if he kidnapped women and girls... if Kim was kidnapped we will never know what happened to her unfortunately :(
either way
rest in peace

Reply to my own theory with a research update. I posted this and it was taken down due to lack of source information, I’m hoping the attached docs obtained via FOIA request will be consider legitimate source. As my theory was that These three girls had been tangled up together as possibly one person causing a roadblock to researchers trying to find them. I recieved Kimberly Sue Doss’s casefile from Davenport PD via FOIA request and they did confirm in 1991 that Kimberly Kathleen Gardner was indeed an individual and not an alias used by Kimberly Sue Doss. Kimberly Sue Doss is still Missing.
Kimberly Rae Doss is Still Missing
Kimberly Kathleen Gardner was located in 1991

They are indeed 3 individuals. I have attached copies of DPD casefile pages as source material.

Kimberly Rae Doss is still missing will little to no information on her where abouts.

If the mother's theory is correct then the person who knows what happened is Jim Nolan, who was President of the Florida Outlaws throughout the 70s. He was convicted of multiple crimes involving his mistreatment of women as well as other offences, sentenced to 50 years in 1989 and released in 2016. I think he is still going. Even if he was not directly involved no action of the type described could have taken place without his knowledge and permission. The police should make the life of a now 80 year old man a complete misery until he gives up the information.
