Imo she was being 'helpful' to the cw by fitting in with their theory (per opening statement) or vice versa (CW chose 12.45 based on JMc's expected testimony). She was prepped imo, She said it was KR's lexus not another suv In a nutshell she lied, Jmo
Yes...she lied, and did so under oath.

While being interviewed by the FBI, if she lied to them and made false statements, she could face up to five years in federal prison.....

Ok, so she's lied about seeing the Lexus out there.
But why was she sending all these texts and calling?

12:30am to 12:50am - Seven voice calls
  • 12:31 a.m. Jennifer McCabe texts O”Keefe: “Pull behind me”
  • 12:40 a.m. Jennifer McCabe texts O’Keefe: “Hello”
  • 12:42 a.m. Jennifer McCabe texts O’Keefe: “Where are u”
  • 12:45 a.m. Jennifer McCabe texts O’Keefe: “Hello”
Don't know but she denied the calls (which were deleted) and claimed at one point they must have been butt dials hahaha (which her agile butt then must have deleted I guess).

My personal theory on why he stuffed up so badly is that he was so keen to play KR's voicemails for that time period to the jury that in his excitement he overlooked or failed to register that his witness would make a note of where the phone actaully was when they were sent.

Possible. Let's face it, he had to play them for motive, weak as they are with regard to that.

Or he just relied on Jen McCabe. An obvious liar.

None of the seven calls Jen made were butt dials. They never went to John's VM so she made them, hung up, and did it again. Why? And why the texts around the same time? She and Matt were looking out the dining room window. Maybe not the whole time but if you're looking for someone to get out of a car and they didn't respond to your 12:31 contact, wouldn't you glance out to the street before sending a barrage of calls and texts their way? Karen had to have been gone before 12:31.

I don't think the defense is going to bother calling Erin Beatty (although she's on their list) as they think the case is already won, but she told an investigator Colin contacted her around 12:30 for a ride. Despite literally everyone else remembering he left at exactly 12:15 (not that they remember much else) and despite the McCabe daughter's very questionable testimony. (Life360)

My speculative timeline is that John got out of the car immediately and just before the three witnesses noticed Karen alone in her car. He was in the house by 12:24 or 12:25. Not hearing back from him, an upset Karen heads for home at about 12:29. The CW says the GPS on his phone stopped at 12:25 (By which time I think he'd arrived inside the house) but his health app time stamp has his phone moving until 12:31.

I think he was smacked in the head with a hard object and disabled shortly after he arrived, with Chloe getting involved at some point. Instead of calling 911, Colin is hustled out and Jen tries to muddy the timeline waters with all of her calls and texts pretending she doesn't know where John is. A drunk Higgins heads out to Canton PD to establish an alibi. Despite the fact that he returned to his home (10 miles away) earlier to prepare to work, Tristan Morris, Caitlin Albert's fiancé, is called back to Canton to help and get Caitlin and possibly Chloe out of the house. After Lucky's first pass around 2:45 am (when there is no body seen on the lawn) BA and Tristian move John's body to the darkest part of the lawn, using the SUV Lucky saw as cover from the street.

BA knew full well he could count on his cop friends not to ask any actual questions. And he was right.

Just my speculation, of course.

Sure I know they can't have been butt dials. Just amused by her suggestion in testimony that maybe they were. Your theory makes sense. Personally I'm still pondering, but do believe KR did not hit him and JO was bitten and clawed on his right arm at some point that night by Chloe.

I've also wondered if maybe JMc had the hots for JO (a passing speculative thought when considering her texts and denial of calls).

I think she very possibly did, but this doesn't explain all the calls and texts after Karen was clearly there and gone and considering she and her husband testified they were looking out the window waiting for him to arrive. They had to have been made for a specific reason.

And remember he managed to have the jury informed that Dr Russell was a little behind the times re downloading from drop box. That was a shocker and convinced me Dr Russell was not an expert in dog bites for sure.

The jury was still recovering from the CW's witness Trooper Paul, who more than likely couldn't perform long division if you asked him. Dr Russell was excused for her lack of knowledge re drop boxes I am sure. Trooper Paul, not so much.

Hoping someone can help me out here. Not sure if I saw it here or online somewhere, but I distinctly recall seeing some text messages between the kids (not sure which ones) that appeared to be manipulated. They were screen shots of text messages, but there was an extra comma in the text that wouldn't normally appear with an iphone text.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about and if so, was it anything brought up in court?

She was inthe process of building a fake storyline. In other words attempting to change the narrative.
You're saying the McCabes beat the stuffing out of JOK and set their cranky dog on him, and subsequently hatched a plan to claim he was never there all within seven minutes?

I mean I guess it's possible the dog attacked him and he fell and banged his head. No beating needed.

Yes, Allie and Colin. They were just screenshots Chris Albert turned over to someone, (maybe the media?) not the actual messages and they made it appear Colin was picked up early by Allie. Allie's entire testimony is in question thanks to Life360.

We mustn't forget that Allie's father Matt McCabe is an IT specialist. Canton man helps partnership grow at the speed of cyberspace technology

Not the stuffing. Just hit him in the head with a heavy object grievously wounding him.

The dog was not on the front lawn. And there is no indication he hit his head outside. Or indication that type of wound could have been caused by a simple trip/slip and fall. And no one saw his body outside either.

And yes, I think it happened within seven minutes of him arriving inside the house. How is that not possible?

The dog Chloe belonged to Brian and Nicole Albert and lived at 34 Fairview. I think the suggestion by some is that JMc was involved in hiding what ever may have gone down, not that they (the McCabes) beat up JO but op will probably clarify moo

Hello everyone! I just joined this group. I have been following this trial and it seems like everyday I change my mind. I think she did hit him, I don't know if she meant to kill him. I also think that the police did a horrible job with the investigation. So many mistakes imo. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I never said that.
To be clear. MOO is she was attempting to change the storyline of what had just happened.
Yes, stating something completely differently or in the opposite way from the way it actually happened.

She lied.

Welcome kjay.
How do you figure that a 7000 pound Lexus propelled a man 30ft through the air and deposited him on someone's front lawn, without damaging his body aside from a bump on the head and a dog bitten arm?

The prosecutor Jackson asked “and then you saw the SUV had driven away after 12:45?”
Jen answers: “correct”

Jen lied. At 12:36am KR was already home.

She did not hit him.

Thank you, there are so many different characters in this drama that I have trouble keeping up.

Maybe the guys wouldn't tell her what they did with him after whatever happened in the basement occurred, so she was trying to find him via his phone?

yes exactly and I also believe the cw theory includes the back of JO's head hitting the curb prior to flying those 30 feet to land on the lawn. Oh also it was a side swipe on his arm which apprently did all this and shattered the flat tail light on impact but did not break or even bruise JO's arm. Contrary to rational expectations, all impact with tail light did was somehow leave discrete and uniform wounds that are consistent with a dog bite and a series of dog scratches. (According to testimony)
