Richard Simmons, the legendary fitness guru who became a television regular in the 1980s with a reputation as a gregarious health advocate, has died. He was 76.

DEVELOPING: More details will be added to this report as they become available.

He created so many smiles over the years! I enjoyed watching his energy, positivity, and kindness when he made TV appearances. He made people feel GOOD - what a gift that is.

Rest in peace, Richard.

Law enforcement sources say Richard took a fall last night, which may be connected to his passing

My father’s doctor used to tell us that people worry about dying from heart attacks, stroke, etc, but often don’t think about falls. He said he’s seen so many elderly in his practice die or decline rapidly after a fall.

Gone too soon.:(

So sad to hear.
By all accounts of people who met him in person, he was genuinely kind and he cared about people.
Rest in peace, sir !

"..... the message was intended to encourage everyone to, "embrace every day that we have....."
Red bolding mine.
