What would that do, in terms of the time frame of an upcoming trial? And only 2 of them are attorneys. I don't think much would happen anyway. It was just 'talk.'
That's why the best course of action, IMO, was to reveal the shadiness.

90 days to six months. For complex matters involving formal charges, though, the process can take as long as one to two years.
