Oh wow, based on the thread title, I thought he'd be a teenager. But he's a 23-year-old man. Who allegedly texted his girlfriend, "'I punched her in the head.'" But he's now trying to claim he did not. And IMO his girlfriend is too afraid of him to even talk to him about it.

This article also says, "The inquest heard analysis of the 999 call Mr Mohammed subsequently made. He could be heard speaking to family members in the background, urging them to not 'make big deal' of the incident, adding: 'Don't tell, don't disclose'."

"The older brother of an 11 year-old girl
who died after an incident in the bathroom of her family home
told his girlfriend in text messages
he 'killed' his sister after she was 'screaming her head off',
an inquest heard.

Suhail Mohammed also said in the texts
'it was the heat of the moment' and
'I didn't know it's gonna knock her out'.

The exchanges,
sent around the time an ambulance was called for schoolgirl Falaq Babar,
were revealed as an inquest into her death resumed on Tuesday.

The inquest heard two of Falaq's siblings were apparently also in the bathroom with her at the time.

But Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Round,
who led an investigation into the tragedy,
said
'parental consent' to interview them wasn't given by the family
despite repeated requests.

Mr Mohammed was
're-interviewed' in relation to the texts,
but answered 'no comment',
Det Chief Insp Round said.

His partner at the time,
Sahar Fiaz,
refused to give a statement, but said the messages
'did not mean anything',
Coroner's Court heard."

"Girl, 11, killed by

'indefensible punch'

before her family tried to cover it up.

Falaq Babar, 11, suffered
an 'unprovoked, indefensible punch' to the head
from her older brother Suhail Mohammed, 23,
at home in February 2022,
a coroner has ruled.

An 11-year-old girl
who had dreams of becoming a lawyer
tragically died after her older brother punched her in the head in a fit of rage,
with the family then attempting to cover up the incident,
a coroner has ruled.

Falaq Babar,
dubbed the 'princess of her family',
was bathing one of her siblings in their home on Bury Road in February 2022
when she was subjected to an 'unprovoked, indefensible punch' by her 23-year-old brother, Suhail Mohammed.

Just 21 minutes after calling for an ambulance,
he texted his girlfriend confessing that he had 'killed' his little sister and admitted to having 'punched her on the head'.

Falaq sadly passed away in hospital a month later.

However,
due to the evidence presented at the inquest,
she will not be reporting the case back to Greater Manchester Police
or the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Ms Kearsley concluded
that Falaq had an
'underlying, unknown malformation in the brain',
which is described as extremely rare.

Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Round, giving evidence,
expressed that he believed there was
'sufficient evidence'
to bring forward a potential manslaughter charge in connection to Falaq's death to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

However,
he revealed that the CPS determined that there was 'no case' due to what he perceived to be the 'complexities' of the medical evidence."

This is extremely tragic, because she wouldn't have died if she hadn't been punched in the head. They can't even charge him with at least the assault and battery even if not her death? I think they can prove unlawful violence occured beyond a reasonable doubt. All IMO.

Baffling as I’m certain it’s a crime to punch a child. Probably get in more legal trouble for non-fatal punching of a dog ! (No disrespect to dogs - just feeling harming a child is worst)

Worse still if sister was ill or disabled - showing a total disregard for her vulnerability.

Sincerely hoping Karma gets this creep-brother (and cover-up family members), sooner rather than later.
