What the what? The mother was able to stop an interview of the children by a family case manager who had been escorted to the house. This happened after a first child described punishment by a spanking with a piece of garden hose on his arms, legs and behind. Then a second child was interviewed and mother stopped the interview. Here’s the most recent I could find on court hearings. Doesn’t look like Bryson is home but supervised visits. For these children, they'd probably be more terrified of splitting up the family than of any possible abuse by their parents for an unacceptable answer. Often cult kids view their parents as infallible, and they can hold tremendous guilt for having thoughts or feelings contrary to that. IMOOSo many children grow up with violence and abuse in the home and thus they think this is ‘normal’. So when asked by Child Protective Services if they feel their needs are met they say ‘yes’. To be honest if I were asked that question between the ages of say 10-16 I would have had no idea what it meant. Also I would have been in fear of upsetting my parents by not answering a question the way they may have wanted…and I didn’t have abusive parents. So I can’t imagine the pressure to answer ‘correctly’ an abused child might be under. Knowing a wrong answer means more abuse. I can’t believe they ask these questions in front of the abusive parents!
