...Hardy said this past Sunday that police telling him they had video showing Dale moving welding equipment into the barn at their residence and farm where he kept the fertilizer sprayer reminded him that shortly after Dee went missing he saw Dale refurbishing an old tank in the sprayer barn, and he shared that information with police.

An old tank with newer paint, an unprofessional weld and marked "do not use" was found on property Warner owns on Paragon Road, Hardy said. ... That tank was taken to an X-ray facility in Detroit at the U.S.-Canada border to be examined, and the image showed a body inside. Police opened the tank and found human remains wrapped in a blue tarp.
<snipped for focus>

Seems that with the information that LE showed him on video of the welding equipment being taken into the barn by Dale, then things in Hardy's mind clicked and it all came together. Dee's brother never gave up and ultimately was key in helping to find Dee's remains.

I know we're still waiting for that confirmation (that the body in the tank is that of Dee Warner), but it is so likely to be her remains. Finally, they can lay Dee to rest and pursue justice for her and her loved ones.

Just saw a tweet by the MSP public information account that it's confirmed to be Dee.
Dee Warner investigation update. Today further investigation was conducted by the Jackson County Medical Examiners Office on the human remains that were found on Dale Warner‘s property. The Jackson County Medical Examiner has positively identified the remains as Dee Warner. Her death has been ruled a homicide. The manner of death has been confirmed however will be withheld pending further investigation. Although there has been positive identification on the remains and manner of death has been confirmed, this is an ongoing investigation. Investigators will continue to gather evidence and work with the Lenawee County Prosecutor’s Office to ensure a conviction.

Despite the heartbreaking reality and tragic outcome of this case, I find a small measure of solace in knowing that Dee has finally been found. I know this isn’t true closure for her family— since they’ll carry this pain for the rest of their lives—it does offer a step toward healing, however difficult and incomplete

“It’s hard to explain because you have the relief of knowing that we’re finally going to be able to lay her to rest,” family spokesperson Kathryn Adams said Sunday. “But then there’s that grief that comes back that we’ve had to relive over and over every time we make progression with the case -- when she was declared deceased, and then again when Dale was arrested for murder -- it’s just a wound that we keep having to reopen.”

Family members tell 13 Action News they expect to hold a news conference on the new developments on Thursday

Shortly after his sister Dee Ann Warner vanished, Gregg Hardy happened into a barn on the Lenawee County property where she and her husband, Dale, lived to find Mr. Warner spray-painting an old anhydrous ammonia tank.

Mr. Warner’s explanation that it was a simple maintenance task didn’t seem right, Mr. Hardy said Sunday, because the fertilizer tank was as small as others he had been selling off, and in any case Mr. Warner tended not to do such manual labor himself.

The announcement comes three days after the force confirmed the remains had been found on Dale Warner‘s property in Tipton, Lenawee County, southwest of Detroit.

Sad for her family.
Sounds from the link there was a business deal that went bad.... wonder if she knew something and he silenced her ?
I wish she'd been able to escape.
Omo.

It will also be easier to get justice for Dee now that her remains have been found and the case goes to trial.

‘Bittersweet’: Family of Dee Warner speaks for 1st time after officials identify her body

The case of Dee Warner is officially being treated by police as a homicide after human remains found were confirmed by medical examiners as the missing Lenawee County woman.

She was last seen in April 2021 at her home on Mugner Road in Tipton. She told her friend she was going to meet up with her husband and was never seen or heard from again for more than three years.

Dale Warner was charged with open murder and tampering with evidence in the case.

Hardy said that police have determined her cause of death, but that it wasn’t something that he personally could reveal. He described Dale Warner as a “very evil piece of human debris,” who “viciously killed my sister with no remorse.”

The family believes Dee was killed in the home she shared with Dale before being stored in an anhydrous tank four miles away. Hardy said his sister’s death was “totally premeditated” and that Dale Warner had stowed her in “a steel tomb.”

Hardy said Dale allegedly schemed to take a large amount of money from Dee which would have happened if it weren’t for someone coming forward about her death.

“Dale Warner forged my sister’s name and used her ID to actually extract one and a half million dollars from all of you taxpayers, and then he put it in the bank and transferred into his own name,” Hardy said. “That was that was proven. This isn’t something I make I’m just talking about that’s not alleged. It’s factual.”

The brother and daughter of a Lenawee County woman missing since 2021 said finding Dee Warner's remains gives them some "closure" after three years of not knowing, but "a conviction still has to take place."

Speaking to the media Thursday after Michigan State Police this week confirmed that remains found on property owned by Warner's husband, Dale, were identified as Dee, Gregg Hardy, Dee's brother, said it was "horrendous" to think about a human being doing what his sister's husband allegedly did to another human being.

"Irreparable harm has been done to so many people — to his own wife, his own family, his own little girl," said Hardy.

Dee's remains were found Sunday on the property of her husband, Dale Warner, who was charged in November 2023 with open murder and evidence tampering in connection with his wife's death. The 52-year-old mother of five was last seen in April of 2021 at her Munger Road home in Franklin Township...

...Where did police find remains?

Police found Warner’s remains inside a large anhydrous tank that was hidden inside a barn in Lenawee County.

Her brother, Gregg Hardy, said he had asked authorities to look in the tanks. He believed his sister’s husband, Dale Warner, might have hidden her body inside.

“In the dark of night, in a building that had no cameras -- slide her body in there, put the end cap back on it, and weld it completely shut,” Hardy said. “Then attach that to a chassis, paint it, even have the gall to put his logo on it to make it look like it was normal, and then took it and stored it with other tanks so it would like it was just another one of the fleet.”...
