Circumstances of Disappearance

Pamela and another classmate Patricia Spencer went missing on October 31, 1969. The girls were not considered friends, but it is thought that they may have skipped school together. Neither of the girls had a purse or ID with them. Initially, they were considered runaways.
In May 2013, a witness told investigators he worked as an attendant at a gas station at the corner of US-23 and River Road at the time of the girls' disappearance. He picked the girls up and gave them a ride into town, dropping them off at the station as he was coming into work that day. The witness further stated that he had given this information to police years ago. According to police, there is other information not released to the public that indicates the girls were seen downtown the day of their disappearance. The witness is not considered a person of interest. Foul play is suspected.''
