My apologies... I am 50(cough)something years old myself and am finally old enough to join the Senior's Centre here in town. I think what I was trying to impress was that there aren't residents at the Garland residence who would be hard on a septic system in terms of lengthy showers and tons of...
BBM Having lived in southern Alberta myself for time, I cannot help but think about all of the coyotes and scavenger birds there are there. If bodies were merely dumped somewhere, even remotely, there would be no doubt that animals and birds would eventually scatter the remains. I somehow doubt...
The need to pump out your septic tank is dependant on what kind of use it gets. We used to get ours pumped every 4-5 years when raising a family, with all the laundry and hard use. I wouldn't imagine 3 senior citizens would tax a functioning septic field and would venture a guess it could last...
Yes.. these rock piles are built up over large dead farm animals. Depending on geographic location some farms have more rocks than others, which get tilled up each year, and need to be removed in order not to damage equipment at planting and harvest time. Not all farms have backhoes or...
I was born and raised on the Prairies and one thing that comes to mind is the place where farmers often dispose of animal carcasses. They drag or haul them out to the back 40 and then cover them in rocks which have been picked off of the fields. If you drive down any country roads where I come...
Here are a couple of links explaining the length of time allowable for travel out of Canada and also Alberta medical coverage for travellers. However.. just because these are the legal and formal guidelines to which most people adhere, there is nothing stopping anyone from staying out of Canada...
Having been raised in a family that hunts and also hunting after marriage, I have seen and done my share of butchering meat. My opinion is that it would not be all that difficult to dismember a body of 2 arms and two legs. If DG had any experience butchering animals at all, he would know exactly...

"He was belatedly tracked down — in Richmond, B.C., where he had also been arrested in connection with a stolen tractor-trailer — in 1999 only after Calgary RCMP put him on its most wanted list on the web."
BBM What on earth would someone steal a tractor-trailer unit for? Surely...
A brain injury/surgery could put an interesting twist into "What makes DG tick??" Persons who suffer brain trauma or have brain surgery are often left with deficits to some degree or another. I wonder if DG is/was possibly an epileptic? I have a brother in law who suffered terribly from epilepsy...
Geez, you have an eagle eye, sillybilly! On closer inspection it appears to me like an old surgical scar. Or possibly a suture repair job from an injury. Are there any other photos with which to compare?
I don't really understand why there would be private rooms for people that want to follow the case, but who do not want to sit in the courtroom. That isn't how trials have been conducted in the past. Maybe it's the new thing of the future, but for what reason?
A somewhat different scenario...
The above mentioned death benefit + the Federal Death Benefit of $2500 max (for persons who have contributed to CPP for at least 3 years, which would exclude NO, and scarcely covers a no-frills cremation).

Case has been put over to September 17th.
"Garland said nothing as Crown lawyers told a judge they are still awaiting a substantial amount of evidence to be disclosed by Calgary police." ~ CBC News...
Industrial/farm winches are noisy. However, just to speak to the rather unlikely possibility, the portable lifts that we use in facilities/hospitals to lift and move residents/patients either in their beds or wheelchairs or up off the floor when they have fallen are very quiet. Ie: you cannot...
