thanks for that post i concur completely and will maintain that any attempt to label him as "mentally retarded" (as was originally suggested here), will fail - this coming from my interactions over the years with him

i recognize that but lj is imo not intellectually disabled he has functioned for years on his own and just from what i know of him, i doubt that he would test in that range

i tend to agree with you... the interview of the former college acquaintance seems bizarre because the behavior appears to have started back in college (i.e. allegations of rape)... and that is when she knew him. why would that equate into doing this with a friend?

why? i LOVE charlottesville... a bit uppity because it is Thomas Jefferson's home but as a naturalized American who has also lived in many places - including the wilds of New Guinea and metropolitan areas in Canada, it is one of the nicest places to live and raise your kids...

plenty of parties always ongoing on preston... maybe she stopped at one of those...

it's not that far to walk but what is unusual is that lone females walking toward the downtown mall at night is very unusual

and that grady area is "shady" at best and VERY dark at night

many, many very good and decent kids do drugs... doesn't make it good but it often is a "rite of passage"...

imo, he was surrounded by friends who more easily got girlfriends while he didn't plus, imo, there was probably a significant amount of drug use that lowerd inhibitions
